Remarks

Well not the best of engineering colleges in Bangalore, Acharya Institute of Technology lacks in great placements and excellent location. Despite these two heavy drawbacks, diversified crowd, well spaced beautiful green campus and perfect hostel facilitie

Entrance Preview

i had written COMEDK and my ranking was 5692*. i had get pretty much many colleges to my choices. but AIT had everything which i was looking in an engineering college. looking at the campus my first reaction was WoooW and thats it, i nailed it at AIT

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Professors at AIT, well thats what the students call it fondly, are highly qualified and have got their PhD and M.Tech degrees. Infact, students say that its a mandatory rule in Acharya to have these requirements. Along with a good number of senior faculties, you can expect to meet teachers with a minimum experience of 5 years. Mechatronics department is pretty good. Almost every lecture is conducted in English while a few teach in Kannada as well. Student-teacher rapport is healthy and students are pretty much interested in attending lectures. Lucky professors!

Internships Opportunities

no internship was provided during our academics. that's the biggest corn of AIT. all the semester, mini prijects and final semester was done under faculties guidelines. Internship program should be started with great priority.

Placement Experience

3

Companies like Infosys, Mahindra, Bosch, Wipro, Michelin Tyres, etc. are seen in the Acharya campus during the placement season. Infosys is the mass recruiter of all and offers jobs to around 100-150 students every batch. Students feel that the placement scenario should improve and more companies should visit the college

College Events

4.5

AIT "Habba" is supposedly the biggest college festival in Bangalore. Acharya Habba is the annual cultural extravaganza of Acharya Institutes, Bangalore. Started in 2005 since then is evidencing a jubilant growth year after year. The festival is conducted towards the end of March or April every year. Acharya Habba a three days festival which attracts people, students from all over Karnataka with its spectacular events and competitions. Acharya Habba witnessed an inflow of 30,000 visitors in 2014.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Hostel facilities are equally top notch. From clean and widely spaced bedrooms and washrooms to hygienic mess food, everything is perfect when it comes to hostel life. Yeah, youve to spend a whopping 1 lakh per annum for the hostel rent.College canteen serves decent food at economical rates. Its widely spaced and you can expect a decent variety in the food. Quality, too, is pretty good!

Fees and Financial Aid

AIT does not give scholarships based on merit. If you get into AIT, the financial aid will be solely based on your personal financial situation. Therefore, getting a "full-scholarship" to AIT only depends on your parents' income and your financial situation. You would still have to fill out FAFSA reports, which would calculate your expected contribution and AIT would provide financial aid to cover the rest.

Alumni/Alumna

An amazing experience with senors of AIT. from the day one insecurity starts of every student and hostel is nightmare. but the scene in AIT is totally different. Forget about ragging, their was no introduction sessions for juniors. They were phenomenally very helpful thought the academics. be it internal test or semester exam always with an ease could get in touch with almost all of them and was always joy to be an dlearn from them.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
