Overall

This college is an abover average college if you will consider among the private colleges of dehradun. Althogh you will have to work hard to get to the place you want. The college will just support you. IITs and NITs you will have to show something extra ordinary in this college to excel and shine.

The course cirriculum in the college is set by UGC. When the college was not given the University Status then the course curriculum was followed as per the course curriculum of Uttarakhand Technical University. Now when the college is given University status, the course curriculum is made by the college itself.

Placements of the Computer Science Department is quite good in college. Almost 70%-80% students get placed. Placements of the Mechincal Department is average,40% - 50% students get placed. If a student is not able to get an internship by himself then the college provides for the internship of that student. However no stipends are given for those internships.

There a number of events that happen during the whole academic year of the college. The two main and big events are Youthopia-the cultural festival of the college and Sphirti- the sports festival of the college. Youthopia and Sphurti both festivals ase big festivals of college and run for around three days.

The fee structure of this college is quite expensive. The overall fees for a respective academic year ranges close to whooping 2 lakh rupees. It may be a little less than 2 lakhs or maybe a little more.

The Naveen Aggarwal girls Scholarship is granted by the college to the meritorious girl candidates who secure the in the top 3 positions of their class. They get a fee waiver of 10% in their academic fees.

The extra curricular activities can be considered average.There is no field in the campus to play cricket or football. Cricket is played in nets. Although you can play basketball, voleyball and other indoor games. The lab facilities are good and effiecient.

The hostel infrastructure is good and the facilities provided by the hostel at DIT University is quite good when comparing with other hostels. The food at the mess id of good quality. The students also get an area to play indoor and outdoor games. The gym is also available for students.

The alumini network of DIT is growing big day by day. You can find the alumini of DIT in almost every MNC. The Career Service departments ensures that the alumini of DIT are connected to each other on a social platform and help each other.

I got admission in this college on the basis of a merit list. This merit list is made by the college. The marks scored by the candidate in 12th Board Exam and the marks scored by the candidate in JEE Mains are given first priority. Then those students are considered who have not given JEE Mains and their merit list is generated only on the basis of 12th marks.

Most of the faculties have done phd but some are doing their phds at the same time while they are teaching in the college. Some faculties are very good while some can be considered average, while some faculties are least interested in teaching.
