My experiance at IIT-ISM Dhanbad

At the time of admission I am very doubtfull towards my college. But after coming to IIT ISM Dhanbad and living here for 2 years I really enjoyed so much. I got so many friend and come to know about many things which are very important in life. I am very satisfied with my college.

IIT-ISM Dhanbad provides different courses in B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA. The course curriculum and Exam structure in B.tech is as follow: 1.It is a 4 years course. 2.There is 2 semester per year and total of 8 semesters. 3.There is total of 4 to 5 subjects and 2 to 3 labs per semester. 4.Each semester consists of 1 mid-sem exam (30%weitghage), 1 end-sem exam(60% weitghage) and 10% on class test /attendence/behaviour. 5.The result of each semester is in GPA form(out of 10 points) and the final result of complete course is in OGPA(weitghed mean of GPA of 8 sems).

Fees structure of our college is nearly same as other IITs. For B.Tech fees is nearly Rs. 1,40,000 per semester including mess and hostel charges. But there were many scholarship provided in our college for those who really needed. college also provide tution fee waiver for students having low family income: 1. family income < Rs. 1,00,000- 100% Tution fee waiver( of Rs. 1,00,000). 2. family income < Rs. 6,00,000- 2/3 rd Tution fee waiver( of Rs. 66,666).

Loans are easily available for students in order they can complete their degree.Our college have their own SBI bank from were students can get educational loans in less comparatively interest rates.

There are 5 Hostels for boys and two for girls. Both hostels have room of two accomodation, consistion of LAN port, 24 hrs wi-fi facility, RO water, and awesome friends.:)Mess is inside the hostel providing not so bad food. But in my opinion girls hostel are far better the boys hostel. they are even like 5 star hotels.

Senior students are really very helpfull. they help there there juniors for prepartion of placements, GATE, IES, semester exams. Almuni network of our college is very strong. almini helps their juniors in placement time by refering them in their companies.

I have got Admission in IIT ISM Dhanbad through JEE.Firstly I have cleared JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced in 2018.I got approx. 18500 rank in mains and 2507 in JEE Advanced.Both the exams are scheduled after the 12th Boards.

There is really awesome faculties in my college(IIT Dhanbad). The professors are highly qualified. Many of them are done there masters from reputated foreign college. Professors are also very supportive and they help every students for research and placements.
