Review on my college.

PSG college is not very strict , you can self learn in a large extent. This is one of the college where no is ragging , we can proudly say we are ragging free campus. The college provides WiFi and the canteen is good too. But there is some construction of buildings inside the college , some noise of construction will always be heard. There is no benches or chair in the appropriate place to sit and relax.

The course curriculum is packed good and the structure of each subject is analysed and made.The exams are well good , 50+50=100. The first 50 is internal marks ( 10- Tutorial, 15-Assignment presentation, 25-continuos assessment test ) and the other fifty for semester exam ( final ) which we write for 100 and they convert it to 50.

The placement in PSG college of Technology are above average , approximately 20 in a class would be placed in placement. Seniors are kind enough to give placement training in advance for a year preparation for a better outcome.For internship my college won't provide on duty or exemption. I went to Kovai medical hospital for a week training internship and didn't get stipend. Our college encourage intern but don't give on duty.

Our college conducts many events like INTRAMS- Fun cultural event , KRIYA - TECHNICAL Event , they are 22clubs and 17 association according to department they even conduct events both technical and non technical , where students get benefited. IEEE Is an active club where they conduct National level competition where all college compete. Ncc does camps here for 10 days , many sports tournament are conducted here.

The fees structure in PSG is feasible , there are some courses which is government aided which is very less in fee structure other regular course are around 70k per year. The hostel fee comes around 90k.

I didn't apply for scholarship till ,but scholarship is available in college as my friends have applied , of that I know First graduation scholarship is there and many more. The scholarship is very useful for students.

PSG college is known for its laboratory equipment and conduction. In this college you would find for every department there is at least 3 labs. In biomedical we have embedded systems lab , sensor lab , biomechanics lab , image processing lab , biomedical equipments lab ( Texas instruments). Sports is good here too, the badminton court is available from morning 6.00 Am to 8.30 pm , the gym is available till 6.40. For every sports there is practice session and the ground to open to all , for those who okay cricket, football, volleyball, kabadi, throwball,etc.

Hostel life is good , infrastructure is good too. In hostel we have access to library and there is a computer centre where we Access the internet. There is a common tv room. Boys should be in the hostel within 9.30 and girls should be in by 6.30 pm , girls have a different method of attendance by biometric scanning and they are very strict about it. Lift is provided in boys hostel for one block alone.

The alumni are the pillars of this college , they are very helpful in giving us advices what to do and what to not. They provide placement test , they are very interactive , they give guidance about various opportunity like aboard studies , internship ,etc.

I got admission through counseling , I went to Chennai for the counseling session and took biomedical engineering. The counseling went good and there was no problem. Then I came to PSG college of Technology to put admission here and start my college journey.

The faculty here is good and they do proper teaching of lessons in a subject. If they handle a subject they are tend to finish all the topics in the course curriculum and don't miss out any topics. Some teachers are well organized and they teach in good manner.
