Remarks

Our college is providing us with good academic facilities like library good faculty. There are nothing like negative remarks actually. But one thing is that since the medical college here is not as old as one in mysore and bengaluru, the clinical exposure to various cases and operative procedures in slightly less.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is 4.5 years of mbbs then 1 year of house surgeonship, it's pretty good. The exam structure is prescribed by RGUHS ( rajiv Gandhi university of health Sciences). We will have 3 internals per year for each subject and we have to get 50 % in atleast 2 internals to get eligibility to write final exam. In final exam again we have to pass both in theory and practcals/clinicals.

Placement Experience

3.5

There are nothing like placements or jobs, our college has post graduation seats which have to be earned by writing all India Entrance test(NEET). Yes our college provides internship of one year. During this period we will be exposed to treat patients. We will be serving in all clinical departments in a period of one year. Also we will be having PHC visits in villages, it will provide a practical experience of managing different cases. We also get a stipend of 15000 per month during this period.

College Events

3

We will be having different events in our college, Academically: we will be conducting medical quiz on various subjects for which there will be cash prize. We will be having a intracollege sports and cultural events and the best in our college will have chance to participate in inter- college events. There will be sports held by university where we can represent our university. Health related programs like vaccination, public education, medical camps will also be carried out.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since I have got my medical seat via entrance test in a govt medical college it is feasible for me.Or else if I would have got a private medical college the fease wouldn't have been feasible. Barring college fee we also spend much amount on books and online coaching which are pretty expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship in our country is based on caste system. I belong to general category and I cannot apply for any scholarship and loans. However since my father is a teacher,I will get 3000 rupees of teachers benefit fund per year.

Campus Life

4.5

We have many extracurricular activity like sports, cultural, medical quiz, medical camps etc. And they all are good. Labs here are good many tests relating to diagnosis of disease are performed here which we also learn. Coming to sports we have a ground in which we can play cricket, foot ball. We also have a indoor facility for badminton. We also have a video library where we can have access to internet.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I have opted for hostel since it is within the campus. The hostel infrastructure here is good, I will rate it as 7 out of 10.In hostel a room is shared by 2 persons. We have attached bathroom for each room. The water supply and electricity is good. The food here is average and we need to get adjusted for it. We will be paying for all these facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, in our field the alumni network is helpful, they will guide us about future post graduation courses, during undergraduat days also they will teach us clinical skills that they learn. The alumni network here is also pretty good.

Admission

After 12th I wrote common entrance test(CET) in which I got a state rank of 540,then there was counseling for medical colleges based on rankings and I got a medical college in mandya, in which I got admitted by paying fee.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here is good. Each department has a HOD and a associate professor and 3 assistant professors, they actually take classes and also teach us clinical skills.Overall the faculty here are srict and good maintaining standards of medical education.

There is no such special curriculum just i want to be a doctor so i chosed mbbs. It's a very good curriculum as we have both book knowledge and practical knowledge at same time as we have to go hospital in morning to see cases qnd at evening to learn about it. There is no such improvement is required. We don't have to give soo much exam but the syllabus we have to cover its not much

Course Curriculum Overview:

Same curriculum as the NMC is followed . In the beginning ears there wont be much exposure clinically like any other hospitals later on in 3rd amd 4th year there is more clinical exposure and patient interaction. According to me the exam level of 1st year is a bit tough as it is a changing phase from 12th to college and everything is new later on we get adjusted and find it easy and will understand how to phase the exam and how it is different from the previous exams of 11th or 12th . Only one exam will be for a academic year which includes the whole syllabus of that year

MBBS- passion and internal will power plays an important role in choosing this course. PASSION- because it is a noble job to do and satisfaction in this course is unmatchable because of patients interaction.
