Remarks

A great place to explore and learn new things and abundance of opportunities are available, just have to show personal interest and pursue in it.Can meet people from different regions and can experience wide range of cultures in one place.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is pretty much ok. The more you participate in the external activities it helps you in securing more knowledge about the subject. Also lecturers won't usually go in depth, so you have show personal interest in studying the related topic, but the faculty are helpful and supportive if you ask doubts regarding the subject.

Placement Experience

4

Placement opportunities over all is good. It's excellent when it comes to CSE and ECE departments, the number of companies and opportunities for CSE and ECE are twice as that of mechanical. Also to attend to most of the companies your CGPA should be greater than 8.5 and there is huge competition compared to other colleges as the number of students are more and all other branches students should attend the interview in main campus that is in SRM kattankulathur branch.

College Events

5

There is a technical event called AARUSH which happens in the odd semester of the year. there is cultural event called JHALAK which happens in the odd semester of th3 year. there is a national level cultural fest that happens in March of every year called MILAN. All these events are solely conducted by students under guidance of fe2 specially assigned faculty for this. You can improve your contacts there are lot of famous personalities attending the event. Overall it's a great place to explore and gain knowledge.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit expensive Compared to other colleges and the year I have joined the annual college fee for non management students was 1,85,000 and for management students it was 3,15,000 but I have heard that the current year fee for non management students for mechanical engineering with particular specialization is 2,75,000.so I would consider it expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many loan facilities available within the college. For a fresher if he has 95% and above in PUC and has secured a rank below 10000 in SRM entrance exam he/she is eligible for 50% fee waiver. If he secures top 10 place within the respective department after one academic year he/she is eligible for 40% fee waiver.

Campus Life

4.5

You have wide range of extra curricular activities inside the college. Regarding sports, cultural activities, dance, studies. All you have to do is show personal interest and look and find for updates with-in the college. Cause they will be number of activities happening parallely so proper notifications won't be available

Alumni/Alumna

There won't be much interactions with seniors, but if asked most of them will never back out to help and suggest you. So in oder to interact with the seniors you have to start participating in the extra curricular activities like in sports or events

Admission

If you are from Tamilnadu state you can secure a seat with your PUC marks and also by writing SRM entrance exam called SRMJEE.If you are from outside Tamilnadu you should definitely write SRMJEE exam and attend the counselling personally for securing the seat.

Faculty

4.5

Good and supportive. Also lecturers won't usually go in depth, so you have show personal interest in studying the related topic, but the faculty are helpful and supportive if you ask doubts.Durimg projects it's better to ask seniors suggestions before picking up the respective faculty for their project.

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.
