Remarks
The college has well-furnished classrooms and labs. They don't have a ground even there are plenty of lands left not used. Some teachers' mentality towards students is horrible. There are many restrictions when a program is conducted as compared to other colleges around.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course ad curriculum is maintained by the University. They follow a systematic procedure and regular updates on each course every four years. The exams are well organised and time scheduled. Regular evaluation of students by the faculty and the college are done.
Placement Experience
The placement drive is conducted by the college every year. But these drives are open to all, the students studying in other colleges can also participate. Most companies are from the IT field. Our college doesn't provide any internship they only give a bonafide the rest we should find out.
College Events
The events are mainly Tech fest, Arts day, Workshop, Industrial meet and some festival celebration. Tech fest is conducted for two days, displaying various projects done by the students and expo of automobile and other technical related programs. Also some short workshops. Arts day is conducted for two days, it exposes an individual's talent other than studies. Workshops are conducted by the college for improving soft skills of the students and know about some new ideas.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very much feasible as compared to other colleges nearby. But they forcefully try to pay the college bus fee of a minimum of Rs 4000 even if the student is not willing to use the college bus service. In addition that while taking admission we have to pay some amount less than Rs2000 as a Placement fee. When the student reaches 4th year where he/she attend placement drive have to pay for food and other snacks him/her only, as mentioned above the placement is an open placement the outside student they have to pay a fee of just Rs100 and all facilities are given to them for free.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship provided by the AICTE avail the student about 75% reduction on their tuition fee. And other scholarships are for minority communities which they can study for free. And some scholarships for financially backward students.
Campus Life
For extracurricular activities, they give 2 days as Arts day. The labs are well equipped and well maintained. Sports activities are now coming up but we should borrow ground to conduct sports and games, the college doesn't have a ground, not even a basketball or volleyball court.
Alumni/Alumna
After the college started it was the 5th batch passed out this year till now there is no alumni network established. As I'm in my 4th year we are planning to form one. Sadly, our seniors or their seniors doesn't took an initiative.
Admission
The govt. of Kerala conducts an engineering entrance exam every year. I was in the merit list. The college preference are given online and according to preference allotments are given. 50% of the seats are reserved for the meritorious student on basis of the entrance examination for self-financing. I got admission to this college by this process.
Faculty
The faculty of our college are well trained and educated enough. The senior professors are holding doctorates and either retired for govt. Colleges or from NITs. Faculty are at each students problems and guide them to their achievement and gives them tremendous support.
