College review of DAIICT

Overall the college is very good and a nice place to be. The campus is lush green with the institute providing everything a student might need with a good number of food courts to medical services and a great library.

It is similar to other bachelor's programmes. The course curriculum is good covering all the subjects from data structures to programming. There are 3 exams per semester. 2 in-sem exams and 1 final exam.

Job opportunities are very good with an average package of above 10 lakh per annum. The highest packages can reach upto 45 lakhs. Most of the students do get their desired job. The college also provides internships with a hefty stipend to some students. A lot of companies come to provide internship to students.

There are a lot of events which occur every year - i.Fest : technical fest Synapse - cultural fest Concours - sports fest Tarang - garba night They celebrate almost all festivals from holi, diwali, ganesh chaturthi to even halloween.

Fees is feasible compared to some other institutions. The fees is 75000 rupees per semester for MSc (IT). The hostel rent is rupees 15000 per semester which does not include the cost of food. Hostel is compulsory for BTech students.

There are no scholarships provided by the institute. The scholarships are provided by the government of Gujarat to the students willing to take it. The college does give details about how to opt for that scholarship. I personally did not opt for any loan or scholarship facility.

Labs are very good with each lab fitted with up to date hardware and software running all kinds of software programs needed. Internet access is provided to every student with wifi facility available everywhere. Sports facilities are also great with facilities available for each sport with a cricket ground to basketball court and an indoor court.

Senior students are quite helpful. Students form committees which organize different events. There is a committee for everything ranging from programming club to dance club etc. Students can interact with seniors whenever they want and they're quite helpful.

There's an entrance exam held every year. 120 top performing students are selected in for the programme. I was one of the 120 who got selected. After that the fees is paid online and the convocation process starts.

Almost all the facilities know their job and are very good at teaching. There are very few exceptions. All the teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Most of them are doing a research of some kind and have good corporate experience.
