Remarks

The college is good as long as you study on your own and be be regular in college as attendance is is the only major factor during internal examination and University viva but self study is all you need for endterm examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's a double semester pattern, with 2 semesters of industrial experience giving insights to young undergraduate student about the working and real life implementation of Engineering studies, There extra curricular activities like cultural activities and also technical activities.

Placement Experience

Placement services were to it's bare minimum with majority recruitment from IT industry, the industrial relations are not good enough for other core technical fields. Internships are provided for 2 semesters for Sandwich courses, there's stipend ranging from 0-5000 INR.

College Events

Engineering Today - It's a technical fest involving all the departments on the Engineers Day. Ashwamedh is the renowned cultural and sport event, featuring individual and group events. Cultural activities includes plays and group performance.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are on the higher edge it's currently around 1.25 lakh per annum for general category students, and it's cheap and feasible for reserved category candidates, there's a annual fees for sorts skill training.

Fees and Financial Aid

There's a lot of scholarship for reserved candidates. Students with weak economic background have seperate scholarships. All of the scholarship allotted are as per the government rules and no other scholarship is provided by the college itself.

Campus Life

Our college is mostly known for it's sports team at University as well as national level, cricket football and kabaddi are encouraged sports other indoor sports also perform well, labs have both old as well new equipment, although addition of new equipment takes a lot ofntime and it's access to the students is restricted.

Hostel Facilities

The college hostel is far away from the college premises and inconvenient for access to other areas, transportation to college is provided by the college bus itself, the hostel service is available only for first year students.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

Most of academic support and moral support is provided by the alumni and seniors, helpful in dealing situation at University level as well as during industrial placements, there's a website for AISSMS alumni.

Admission

Applying through DTE after appearing for qualified examinations like JEE not enough score is required based on the past record, but poor performance may not grant you admission here. There a different reservations available as per the DTE website.

Faculty

Faculty is well educated, there is a gap between the way student understands things and the way faculty teach at college, most of the faculty are doing their own research without more involvement of students.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
