Remarks

If u want to join in technical field then its good but not for pure science streams (Int M.Sc or M.Sc). But I can assure u that u can learn many things apart from academic. My personal opinion is that this institute is good in environment and I will miss this institute very much.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It has to be improved. Syllabus has been changed after we joined. So u can say that it has got some good changes in syllabus. Specially the research and practical labs section. It has improved but not to the level of IIT's.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements for our course is not ao good, but it can be improved if the institute focuses on it, till date only few coaching institutes cime to recruit us. Yes this institute provide a facility of internship too. But there's no fellowship if u do internship within institute.

College Events

5

There are many invents organised it also includes inter-NIT competitions. Innovision is celebrated on odd semester and NITR-UTSAV is celebrated on even semester. There are various hall days too and many more where u can make use of ur special talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is feasible, I would say that it is worth it. Like in our course per semester it would go around 28K yo 38k gor SC/ST and for General, OBC and EWS it would be around 34k to 42K. It may vary now as the mess fees are also included in it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there is a scholarship offered by NITR Alumni to financially weeker student, but they offer to only very few students (aprox in my course it was yo only 1-2 but there are many who applies for it. But still u can apply in scholarship portal for various scholarships. And for SC/ST there is good amount of scholarship around 80k per year under Prerna scheme.

Campus Life

5

Yes they are also included and I must say that there's lot to be improved in labs portion. There are other activities like painting, music and various clubs where u can join and enhance your talents. I haven't joined any of them, as there's no time for post graduate student to do all these stuff.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes in NITRKL hostel is compulsory as it is a residential institute. But in case of any personal problems there's a case of exception but required to be approved by concerned authority. I should say u that the infrastructure is good compared to other institutes. Initially u will be allotted on sharing basis for UG students and later u will be given single accommodation.

Alumni/Alumna

As I have just graduated from this institute so I don't have much knowledge on this. They offer scholarship, and conduct various programmes and seminars on guiding students. There is a group of NITR Alumni which conducts reunion too.

Admission

I have cracked JAM 2017 and got admission via CCMN 2017 counseling for M.Sc students. For B.Tech and Int M.Sc students u can crack JEE mains entrance exam and join this institute through counseling. For M.Tech u have to qualify GATE exam and join through counseling.

Faculty

3

Yes, few faculties are very helpful, but there are few who doesn't take class with their full efforts, to be frank some faculties are not interested to teach at all. They are in a hood to reasearch and take themselves to the top position in the institute.

From last semester students become eligible for campus placement. The companies like Infosys, TCS , wipro etc were visited. I don't know much about the packages. I planned for PhD after getting the MSc. Degree.

Course curriculum is very good at niser and are comparable to some foreign institutes. There are world class facilities available for you and the labs are the main insights here. But you have to be somewhat attentive regarding your exams as exams are easy to moderate level.

I personally like the contemplative aspect of this course that isn't available at any other universities, this fact itself makes this university unique on itself and it helps with your mental health and it's truly amazing considering that we're students of psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a lecturer so i choosed the royal course Masters in zoology rather than any other specialisation course. And the course Masters of Science in Zoology, Botany is provided by very few private universities in Odisha and AIPHU is one of them i think probably the best one. Faculty do come and leave but there replacement is done simultaneously. The faculty student ratio is normal. Most of the faculty members have completed there PhD as well as Post Doctorial research from foreign universities and medical. Our faculty focus on building strong foundation. They start from basics and teach the difficult topics in very simpler way. We have two midterms each of 1 hours and of 100points which get converted to 20 marks. And one endterm of 50 marks and 10 marks for internal assessment. Midterms are brainstorming but it makes us thorough in specific units which makes endterm exam easier.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this allows me to delve deeper into the passion for understanding animal life and their biological processes. Secondly, this is also a step towards my goal to become a researcher. The faculty members at our university are very dedicated, highly qualified, with their post-docs from a renowned university and are very cooperative. They teach us in a very friendly way, and their passion for research enriches the academic environment. The difficulty level for term exams is medium, neither too hard nor too easy, and requires hard work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.
