MY ABESEC COLLEGE DAYS

My college was overall good. Faculty was good and well qualified. Infrastructure was fine. College management was very helpful.There was CCPD department for placement purposes. Special Focus was provided upon first year students regarding their studies. S

I did not took any entrance.

Well my branch in B.TECH is Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). The course structure was good in fact from the first year onwards the faculty started teaching us basic concepts, terms used in electronics engineering. There were 2 semesters in year and in each semester there were 2 sessional exams and one pre university tests conducted by my college itself. And in the end of semester I had to give final university exams conducted by my university i.e U.P.T.U . In the first year I studied various subjects like Engineering maths, Engineering chemistry, basic electrical engineering, engineering physics, basic manufacturing process, environmental engineering etc. Course structure was good in fact the candidate will be able to do research in areas of SCADA, PLC application and integerated designing. One can opt for post graduation courses like M.TECH and after that one can also opt for PHD and also one also may be able to go foreign universities for further training and research. So overall the course structure was good and the candidate will be able to focus on research also in future.

No our college does not provide internship . The candidates have to arrange their internship by themselves . I had arranged my internship in Indian Railways electric locoshed ghaziabad. I was not paid there. I was given a internship certificate.

The annual fest that is used to celebrate in my college is Genero.It is generally celebrated in the month of september. It is 3 to 4 days fest that consists of various technical activities competitions, games competition like gully cricket, Carrom, chess, football, basketball etc. In this fest other college students also used to participate. There was participation charge that was used to collected from outsiders and for our college students the entry was free of cost.At the last day of the fest there was used to battle of bands competition in which bands of different colleges were used to participate. The main attraction of the fest were robot war, dancing competition, singing competition, battle of bands, gully cricket. Each event had its own winner prize which is generally an amount of cash along with winner trophy. Apart from fest there was used to be a business week in which for each day students used to do business activities, arrange installs for selling their product, used to innovate new creative business ideas. The winner of best idea for business was given cash prize along with trophy. In between the semesters technical events like integrated designing competition were also used to held. So overall Genero, Business week were the main attractions of our college and it is generally be organized at the city level.

Fee is actually feasible.The fee for one year (two semesters) is around 1 lac and for financially weak candidates scholarship comes from Uttar Pradesh government . For getting scholarship from UP govt candidate have to produce income certificate and along with a scholarship form has to be submitted to the college registrar.Generally aid of Rs 70,000per annum is being provided by UP govt to the financially weak candidates. Income certificate produced must show that candidate's father annual income is below 1lac.

For financially weak students scholarship is provided by U.P govt. but for meritorious students a special scholarship is provided by college management, in it generally a reward of Rs 10,000 is provided by college management meritorious students include university topper, branch topper.For elite projects financial aid is also provided by college committee to the students .For my final year project college had provided me Rs 2000 as financial help. My project included PLC as PLC is costly so they provided me financial help.

In my college gender ratio was around 6:4 if there were around 6 boys than comparing with them there were 4 girls.Extracurricular activities were also there through out the year generally on week days. Inter college sports competition of cricket, football were also there and inter branch competition were also there. There was no difference between students depending upon religion, caste, race. In my college students were also from Jammu and Kashmir but they were all were friends to all students. My college was very strict on ragging so there were very strict rules to curb ragging.

Hostel facilities are good.Two candidates have to share a common room college management charges Rs 65000 per student at the starting of year and has to be paid in one installment . In hostel facilities they provide room, food which includes morning break

We have ABES Alma Connect a social site to remain connected with our batchmates and with our seniors and with other alumni members. Job are also posted by our alumni members for juniors so that they can join good jobs. When I came in first year in college there was an interaction session between juniors and seniors, When I came in second year there was an interaction session between me and my juniors. Seniors were always helpful in providing guidance to how to study and how to score more and they were also helpful in my project guidance.

Usually classes were held starting from 9:30am in the morning till 4:30pm in the evening and in between there was the lunch time from 12:30pm to 1:30pm usually there was one lab was used to schedule each day after lunch.Saturday and Sunday remains off . H

In my college all the faculty members were highly qualified they have done B.TECH, M.TECH from IITs, Phd . The head of the department (HODs) were having the experience of minimum 10 years. The HODs also used to take lectures in their respective fields a
