ABOUT THE COLLEGE

For me the college holds a positive remark as compared to others because of its ragging free environment, nice placements records satisfactory teaching staff and good number of oppertunities for students in various fields.

The course curriculum is completely standardized as per the standard rules for various engineering branches. the semester exam is conducted twice a year. Each semester has 3 cycle tests which makeup 50 internal marks and the rest 50 are made from the semester exam. The results are grade-based and GPA is given each semester.

The job oppertunites are really good and last year's highest package was 32 lakhs per annum from our campus.we have to arrange for internships ourselves which holds marks under industrial training in the 3rd and 4th years.

The college holds aarush during the odd semester which is one of the largset technofests in the country. It holds various seminars,events,concerts and workshops. We also hold milan during even semesters which is one of the most famous cultural fests in any college across the country.these are conducted in kattankulathr campus of the college.

It is quite expensive for a middle class family since the fees for b.tech starts from 200000 in category ''a'' and goes to 3.5 lacs per annum across all campuses.it is not very expensive for rich class but may seem high to middle class students.

As far as i know people rarely recieve any scholarship. I know that if someone gets above 9.5 cgpa then he gets a scholarship of 50000 during the end of year 2. The scholarships can even be availed if someone performs extraordinary in sports.

The college promotes extra curriculars through its yearly organised fests. The college also provides od letters tio those who want to attend any oppertunities apart from studies by taking permission from hod or dean of the college.

I had opted for hostel during 1st year. The infrastructure is moderate and the food is best for brakfast which goes worst during dinner. I would suggest that 1st years must live in hostels after which they can live outside in pg our flats for the upcoming years.

Our college is a 100% ragging free campus thus there is a very flexible and friendly relation between seniors and juniors. Seniors are really helpful and friendly with juniors.they really help their juniors to participate in various activities across college and guide them for placements.

My college is a famous one. I had heard about it from my friends during intermediate and thus i applied for it's entrance exam after which i joined the college through the counselling process which took place at srm,kattankulathur,tamil nadu. Before counselling they took the counselling fees which was 10000 then they made us give an amount of rs.20000 after selection of course and branch according to the availability of seats. this amount was completely refundable if someone wanted to withdraw admission within the due dates. I had chosen for b.tech in computer science for which I am paying a tuition fees of 200000 every year.

My college is a very good one if it comes to palcements. It holds a recorsd of 100% placements for last 4 years.the job oppertunites are really good and last year's highest package was 32 lakhs per annum from our campus.
