Remarks
The Agricultural Engineering College is the premium agricultural research institute approved by ICAR and TNAU. The college is apt in terms of academics and teaching. Industrial exposure is also good.
Placement Experience
The graduates are employed by industry, consulting firms, universities and governments for research, education and manufacturing in all areas of agricultural engineering. Many of the graduates from my batch are very successful entrepreneurs. A sizeable number are working for corporate in Middle East countries.
College Events
Our college organises many field visits in order to provide us the hands on experience for practical application of the topics. Many cultural events and festivals are also celebrated in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The basic fee structure for a Bachelor’s program is 1.2 lacs per annum. I availed a fee concession of 20k, for being the first graduate from the family. The fee structure is pretty nominal and other scholarship options are also available with the college and the TNAU university.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
I received Periyar Endowment scholarships since I was the first to graduate from my family. I received cash prize. Many other scholarships from Council of Agricultural Research, and other agencies are also available.
Admission
I applied online on the official website. I got invited for the counselling process. The admission was on the basis of merit list. The entire admission process and the counselling process is pretty hectic.
Faculty
Dr. P. Balasubramaniam, Assoc. Professor, received the best teacher’s award from the college. All the faculty members are equally qualified. They either holds a PhD degree or are pursuing PhD degree, carrying their individual research. They also share their work in the context of our course.
