College is good.

Just one major drawback is that the college ground is a bit small as compared to the grounds of other colleges. On the other hand, the labs are getting better each day, thus enhancing the learning experience. The placements are flourishing due to the tedious efforts taken by the Training and placement department of the college.

The exam structure was as directed by the Savitri Bai Phule Pune University. The term was of 6 months, consisted of 5 subjects for each term, and accounted for a total of 8 terms (4 years). In the first and second year, online MCQ exams were conducted after 3 months of term completion, followed by a end sem examination. And in 3rd and 4th year, the online test was replaced by written Insem examination. The course was all encompassing, which made us understand not only the basics but the clarity of the subject in depth, which helped alot of students get good placements.

The placements of our college, especially our department (Mechanical) improved a thousand manifolds this year. Many students got jobs in core companies like Mahindra, Thyssenkrupp, Atlas Copco, Adani Gas, etc, along with placements in IT companies like Cognizant, Infosys, etc.

College is full of events all the year round. Department's event DYNAMECH is wonderfully executed each year in the month of February. MESA SPORTS is event conducted in every odd semester. Intercollege sports are conducted around October. And it's very lively out there.

As far as the education quality is concerned, the fee is less as compared to colleges like MIT. It's not that expensive. It was around 54000 for OBC, 10000 for SC/ST and 98000 for Open category students.

Freeship and Scholarships that are provided by the SPPU, can be benefited by the students who are eligible here. The process is tedious but due to helpful working staff, no one is deprived of the scholarships iff they are eligible.

College does focus on extracurricular activities. Sports, NCC, Speeches, Farewell, and many other events are organized with teachers and students in sync. New lab was added last year funded by 3DPLM Dassault Systems. Mechanical labs were renovated last year. And new lab was added for conducting educational conferences recently.

I didn't opted for the hostel but I know the things out there. The basic amenities are provided (Cupboard, Desk, one toilet bathroom for total of 6 people) which were good. The rooms are cleaned everyday and food that is provided in the canteen is good as well.

The alumni of the college are closely knitted via the feedback systems. Alumni are invited every year for annual gathering and their feedbacks are noted as well. If they wish to sponsor the projects, donate for the college betterment, they do so and the college is benefited alot due to this mutual maintenance of the relationship.

I got admission in this college through CAP Process, as directed by the education council. The JEE marks were combined with the 12th HSC board marks and a percentile was calculated. This percentile helped me to apply for this college, it's cut off was 92% for Mechanical branch.

The faculty of my college was very helpful, and they always strive so the students will grasp the concepts clearly. They always thought of the students' progress first.
