Fergusson College-Beyond two eyes

Positive- This is the best college i can ask for,because i have learned and gained a lot of real life experience and it has shaped me from an shy student to an confident one.Every place has some pros and cons,and being an optimistic person i would like to focus more into the positive side. Negative- It needs improvement with it infrastructure and a better office managment.

When i joined Fergusson,it had already been titled as an autonomous college,so the course structure was totally different for us than the University structure. It is basically old school information, only some options like Psychology and Economics had new and varied syllabus. But for the year 2019, my college has changed its entire curriculum.

The college has various individual department wise events like the freshers party and farewell parties,but keeping that aside Fergusson has one of the best cultural fest in pune,which consist of 5days event.It consist Of Traditional day,Sari day, Departmental fest and other events like dance, singing and performing plays.

The fee structure is very feasible. Also the college provides scholarships so its not a problem for students wit low economic background to avail admission in the college.Also there are different quota to get into the college.Like OBC quota or defence quota.

Fergusson college provides many different types of scholarship like: 1. Dr R.J. Rathi Past student FCP help- For helping the deserving students. 2Prof V v Akolkar help- For blind and needy students of FC 3.Smt Manutai Shankar Ranade prize- For deserving female students. P.S- I haven't availed any scholarship yet.

The activity club or the sports club usually known as the Gymkhana in the college is not a very well equipped but managable monument standing in the vast field of Fergussonn College. The labs are also of old generation style,and not very clean.

No i don't live in the hostel,but annually it ranges from 75000- 90000. It is different for boys and girls.It is a little expensive for the female students in comparison of male students.Frankly speaking the infrastructure of the hostel and the limits it have especially on the female students in not very appreciatable.

Fergusson college has a huge alumni network of well know people, like Veer Sarvarkar to Dr Kriplani to Radhika Apte. The senior students and the pass out students are really very helpful. One thing which duffrentiates fergusson college from any other college is that students are always ready to help you if you need one

I applied for the online regregistration,within 10 days i got my results that I'm eligible to take admission in the college.I came with All the documents for verification and thus my seat was confirmed in the institution.

The feeling i have for the faculty members of my college is very mixed.It ranges from two to eight on a measurement scale.Some teachers are very good and some teachers are not that informed and understanding.The psychology department of the college has the best faculty members.
