The tuition fee per semester is around 1,00,000 Rs. This totals to about 2 lakhs for a year. The other significant expense is the mess and hostel fee, which is approximately 30,000 Rs per year.

When you add in other minor expenses, the total cost comes to about 2.5 lakhs per year for a general category student.

For students belonging to the SC/ST category, there is no tuition fee at all. Additionally, there are various fee concessions available based on parental income.

The total cost for the B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering at IIT Delhi is a bit on the higher side, but totally worth it considering the facilities. The tuition fees are structured based on the services provided, including exams and library access. Hostel fees also depend on amenities like the gym and mess, so it can add up. I’d estimate everything together could be around 2-3 lakhs per year, but it’s manageable if you plan your budget well.

The fees for IITs vary depending on the specific IIT. However, it generally hovers around INR 2,28,000. This figure is based on IIT BHU, but other IITs have fees in a similar range.

P.S. - This info has been updated after getting the exact fees upon joining IIT. Thanks for the heads-up!

IIT Delhi’s B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering has a total cost that can range around 2-3 lakhs per year. This includes tuition, hostel fees, and other expenses for facilities like the library and gym. It’s a bit expensive, especially since Hauz Khas is costly, but the exposure and opportunities here are incredible. Just be ready for the financial commitment, especially if you’re coming from a less privileged background since there aren't any scholarships available currently.

Studying B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering at IIT Delhi is definitely an investment. The fees cover various facilities, and while I don't have the exact figures, I think the total cost may be about 2-3 lakhs annually. It’s a bit pricey living in Hauz Khas, but the quality of education and campus life makes it worthwhile. Plus, there are no scholarships offered yet, so keep that in mind if you’re considering applying.
