Thanks for asking! There are several career options you can pursue after graduating in biotechnology:

  • You can work for numerous pharma companies or explore opportunities in the healthcare sector.
  • You can apply for a master's program and potentially pursue research later (PhD) or consider a career in teaching.
  • You can directly engage in research roles (like Market Research, etc.).
  • You can also apply for positions as a Research Assistant at various organizations.

Good luck!

I’m currently in the B.Tech Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering branch at IIT Delhi, and honestly, it has its ups and downs. The curriculum is quite rigorous, and scoring can be tough compared to other colleges. But, one major plus is the high demand for biotech professionals globally, especially with recent virus outbreaks. It's a good field to be in for the future.

As for placements in 2025/26, I believe there will be ample opportunities since biotech skills are becoming essential. The college also has a strong reputation, which helps in getting good internships and job offers.

Studying B.Tech Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering at IIT Delhi has been a transformative experience for me. The campus life is vibrant, with plenty of clubs and events that make it enjoyable. The coursework is quite challenging, though, and I feel like the real-world applications could be better integrated.

Regarding placements in 2025/26, I think students will have good prospects, especially since biotech is getting attention due to health crises. Plus, the IIT Delhi brand name really opens doors in the industry.

I chose IIT Delhi for my B.Tech in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering mainly because of its high NIRF ranking. The curriculum is tough, and exams are frequent, which can be stressful. But I do appreciate that there are many extracurricular activities that help with overall development. For placements in 2025/26, I’m optimistic. With the growing importance of biotech in tackling global issues, I think the job market will be favorable for us. Just a heads-up, the fees are quite high, around 1,19,000 per semester, so budgeting is essential!
