AIIMS Delhi definitely stands out with its rigorous curriculum, incredible faculty, and vibrant campus life compared to AFMC. At AIIMS, the exposure to clinical practices starts early, and the faculty-to-student ratio allows for personalized attention, enhancing the learning experience significantly. The campus offers a slew of activities, from sports to cultural fests, making it a lively environment. While AFMC also has its perks, especially for those interested in a military career, AIIMS Delhi edges ahead in overall academic and extracurricular experience. For those who prioritize a comprehensive medical education in a dynamic setting, AIIMS Delhi is the way to go; however, if you're looking for a career in defense medicine, AFMC might be your best bet.

Comparison between legends is futile. Both AFMC, Pune and AIIMS Delhi are in a league of their own. AFMC has its own advantages and disadvantages (entirely up to individual perceptions and life goals). On selection merit, I would say AFMC wins because of minimal to no reservations, plus a holistic selection procedure (a better method of selection than just clearing one exam). In terms of quality, both are at par. AFMC has the largest medical college campus in Asia (albeit a beautiful one). AIIMS Delhi does have a much greater patient load (being in the national capital and being a civilian, open to all facility, while AFMC is primarily for military personnel and their dependents, although certain categories of local civilians are allowed)—this matters mostly in superior clinical exposure for clinical subjects in PG (quite irrelevant in UG), although AFMC employs much better teaching methods; medical cadets and trainees are literally spoon-fed by professors (really enviable in medicine). The quality of staff/teachers is quite the same at both places (all extremely well qualified). AFMC is what it is because of the aura of military discipline that is instilled in the students.

Between AIIMS, Delhi and AFMC, I would choose AIIMS, Delhi. It's considered the best medical college in the country. However, if someone has the intent of joining the Armed Forces, then AFMC is the best choice for them, second to none. I've always mentioned that one should only join AFMC if they are sure about pursuing a career in the Armed Forces. I hope this answers your question succinctly.

AIIMS Delhi definitely stands out when it comes to placements and internships compared to AFMC. At AIIMS, the curriculum is designed to provide extensive clinical exposure starting from the 5th year, and the stipend during internships is among the highest in the country at around 30,000. In contrast, AFMC offers a solid education but may not match the same level of clinical involvement or financial perks during internships. The strong faculty-to-student ratio at AIIMS also means better guidance and networking opportunities, which can significantly enhance career outcomes. I’d recommend AIIMS Delhi for those who want top-tier training and better job prospects, while AFMC might be a good fit for those looking for a structured military career path.

AIIMS Delhi is a clear winner when it comes to fees and ROI compared to AFMC. The total fee for a 5-year MBBS course at AIIMS is just 5,856 rupees, making it incredibly economical, while AFMC's tuition can be higher, even if there are no substantial fees reported. AIIMS also offers a higher stipend of around 30,000 during internships, providing better financial support during the crucial final years. While both colleges have great faculty and facilities, the extensive practical exposure and lower costs at AIIMS make it a smarter financial choice. I’d recommend AIIMS Delhi for anyone looking for the best value for money in their medical education, while AFMC might appeal more to those seeking a military background or specific career paths.
