I would say BMSIT edges out MSRIT, especially in terms of placement opportunities for Computer Science and Engineering. The college has a strong reputation, and students can begin placements from the 6th semester. The average package is around 8 LPA, and I've seen many friends land internships with decent stipends. The faculty is supportive, and the curriculum incorporates modern technologies, which is great for future job prospects.

BIT is the better choice because it has a higher ranking and feels like a government college due to its excellent faculty, which is better than BMSIT. BIT is also one of the older colleges, having been established in 1979. Although its infrastructure is just average, the placement opportunities are better, with its ranking being in the top 10 across Karnataka.

While I've heard good things about both colleges, based on my own experience in Computer Science and Engineering, BMSIT is a solid choice. The faculty-student ratio is pretty decent, and they focus on real-world applications in the curriculum. Also, the placement percentage is high, with a good number of companies visiting the campus. Overall, I feel like BMSIT provides a better environment for aspiring tech professionals compared to MSRIT.

As of now, BMSIT is considered better than BIT Bangalore.

Placements: The college provides moderate placement chances, with average salaries ranging from 3 to 4 LPA, and the highest package reaching up to 15 LPA. The CSE, ISE, and ECE branches have pretty good placement rates, with the college claiming a 90% placement rate for these areas. However, placement success is less impressive in other fields, particularly in mechanical and civil engineering.

From my experience, BMSIT is definitely better than MSRIT when it comes to Computer Science and Engineering. The curriculum at BMSIT is well-rounded and includes relevant subjects like DSA, DBMS, and others that are crucial for placements. The highest package last year was around 30 LPA, which is impressive. Plus, around 80% of students get placed every year, and companies like Amazon and Microsoft frequently visit for recruitment. Overall, the environment and support for placements here are strong.
