Honestly, DUs law program is quite solid and a good option in India. The faculty is well-qualified, and the teaching methods, though sometimes more like monologues, do include practical examples that are helpful. Plus, the low fee of around 6000 rupees makes it accessible for many.
However, the placements can be tricky since many students opt for UPSC instead, and while there are opportunities, it's not the same as what you might find at an NLU. So, in my opinion, it’s one of the best but not without its challenges.
When it comes to a 3-year integrated law course, DU is definitely at the top. While National Law Universities are usually considered the best, DU certainly stands out if you're looking beyond NLUs. Let me share a story that happened recently. A friend of mine from Navi Mumbai mentioned to her friend Andrew that she knows someone who got into DU's LLB program. His reaction was, "Wow! That lucky nerd. It's like getting into Hogwarts for a 3-year LLB course." Although it might sound a bit exaggerated, it really shows the kind of reputation DU has. Good luck with your future!
In my experience, DUs law faculty has its pros and cons. The curriculum is well-structured, and the faculty is knowledgeable, but sometimes classes can feel a bit too formal. The fee structure of around 6000 rupees is a big plus for those of us who are budget-conscious. However, when it comes to placements, the competition is fierce, and many students don't even sit for placements as they prepare for UPSC or other exams. So, while it’s a respected program, it’s not the easiest path to take.
I think DUs law is definitely among the top law programs in India. The faculty is great, and the curriculum covers all essential legal areas. The fees are also very low, which is a huge plus for students. I've had a good experience with the library and the campus vibe too.
However, the exam difficulty is pretty high, and securing placements can be tough since many students focus on other competitive exams. It’s a good choice but with some compromises.
