How are the placements at NIT Jamshedpur?

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

The students usually get offers more than 15 lpa and highest this year one guy from ECE got into rubrics of 1.23 crores and many of the students from electronics branch and computer science and branch got package of 30 Lpa 48 lpa 60 lpa too, and coming to the core branches, scenarios are very much good in core branch, I think many people almost everybody get placed here and average package of core branches 10 lpa and of non core it must be 15 to 20 lpa so over all average package of college must be approx 15 lpa. In my branch metallurgy and material science engineering, every student got placed. Internships are given generally from 3rd year itself but many of my friends got internship in 2nd year itself.

Students get PPO ( pre placement opportunity) from 5th semester itself. However the actual placment process starts from 7th semester. A mix of tech and non-tech companies visit the college and offer job to the students.
