Yes, IIT Kharagpur offers both LLB Hons. (Intellectual Property Law) and LLM (Intellectual Property Rights/International Law).
Eligibility Criteria for LLB at IIT Kharagpur:
- There should be no backlogs in Graduation.?
- The candidates must complete their graduation from a UGC recognized institution. AICTE, NAAC, NBA, BCI, MCI, DCI, PCI, etc.? must also have recognized that institution.
- Their bachelor's must be in Technological Engineering, Technology, Healthcare or an equivalent stream. They must have attained first class in bachelor's.
OR
- A first-class master's degree in science or medicine, or an equivalent qualification.
OR
- A first-class MBA in any of the already mentioned streams.?
- If the bachelor's degree does not state "First Class," a minimum of 60% or a cumulative GPA of 6.5 will be required.
Eligibility Criteria for IIT Kharagpur’s LLM:?
- A Bachelor's in law from any UGC and BCI-recognized University in India.
- An Integrated LLB degree (5 years) or a 3-year LLB Graduation Program. Both of them are equally valid.?
- With the 3-year LLB program, you must also have a graduate degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce. Otherwise, your admission claim will be rejected.?
- Those who have completed LLB (Hons) from IIT KGP in 2023 with an 8.5 or more CGPA can seek admission without the entrance.
