IIT Ropar chemistry department was established in 2009. The chemistry department has started with only four faculty members and three PhD students. In 14 years the department has grown significantly. Now IIT Ropar Chemistry Department has 15 regular faculty members more than eighty PhD students and 8 Post-doctoral fellows.
