How is IIT Roorkee virtual lab?

The virtual labs at IIT Roorkee aim to provide an enhanced learning experience by remotely accessing laboratory experiments. This excludes the need for a physical lab infrastructure and students can perform practicals in a simulated environment. Electronics, CSE, Mechanical, Chemical, Biotechnology, Physical and Chemical Sciences are some broad areas of virtual labs. The virtual lab features are as follows. 

• It provides remote access to labs in various disciplines of Science and Engineering.
• These Virtual Labs help students at the undergraduate, and post-graduate levels as well as research scholars.
• These labs help in learning basic and advanced concepts through remote experimentation.
• The labs provide various tools for learning, including additional web resources, video lectures, animated demonstrations and self-evaluation.
• It helps to share costly equipment and resources, which are otherwise available to a limited number of users due to time and distance constraints.
• Currently, there are 6 virtual labs at IIT Roorkee - Electrical Machines Lab, Surveying Lab, Biomedical Instrumentation Lab, Bio-Medical Signal and Image Processing Lab, Digital Electronics Lab - I and Analog Electronics Lab.
