In terms of the world ranking, IISc is way behind from NUS. In QS world ranking IISc is ranked at 185th position whereas NUS is at 11th position.
NUS covers a wide variety of courses like Business, Arts and Social Sciences, Computing, Dentistry, Design and environment, Duke-NUS Medical School, Engineering, Integrative Sciences and Engineering, Law, Music, Public Health, Public Policy, etc. Whereas in IISC there are two centers- Science and Engineering. Both of them provide undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. IISC mainly focuses on research work and provides only BS degrees at the bachelor level. NTU also has limited courses at bachelor level like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
NTU has good professors and has much better infrastructure, facilities, and global exposure. Because of this, the fee is very high in NUS if compared with IISc. The students are expected to deliver rather than understanding the basics. They have to study advanced subjects in the first semester itself at NUT.
IISc is best if you want to stay in India. But if you want global exposure then go for NUS.
According to most reviews, students who are interested in getting into an institute with the IIIT tag can join IIIT Dharwad. There are several positives and negatives about the institute, and a brief overview of them is listed below.
If you are passionate about engineering, it will be better not to choose this institute.
BITS Pilani does not release course-wise placement statistics so the information I have mentioned is not from official resources but from someone who was in the previous batch.
As per him, all ME CS students get placed and around 3 to 4 students with better CGPA are chosen to sit in PS -2. BITS Pilani placement takes place in 2 semesters. In the second placement semester, students get excellent internship offers on the basis of their CGPA. Top recruiters who recruit ME CS students are Qualcomm, Cisco, Mathworks, Microsoft, and Amazon.
Another friend who was in the 2020 batch claimed that almost 100% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 50 LPA, while the average salary package offered was 20 LPA and the minimum salary package offered was 10 LPA. Top recruiter companies are Google, Amazon Sprinklr, Cisco, Samsung, Microsoft, and many others.
Overall, ME CS students need not worry about placements at all.
Life of M.Tech students at IIT Bombay is full of challenges yet enjoyable. The course work and project work are demanding but manageable. The academics won’t be as hectic as B.Tech.
Your weekdays will be a mix of classes, labs, and teaching assistant work. During weekends, you can unwind, watch movies, and take part in some extra-curricular activities.
If you want to have your own start-up, IIT Bombay is ideal. It has an active incubator and start-up culture. You will get the support and resources you need.
Studying at IISc Bangalore is difficult. Some challenges that you will face as a student are - plenty of assignments that are difficult at times, bi-weekly quizzes, surprise tests, sometimes you might not understand a concept taught in class, and some professors schedule 8 a.m. classes. You will have many sleepless nights.
However, if you dedicate yourself to your studies, focusing for long hours without the thought of comfort and fun, you will easily understand all the concepts and ace all your exams.
You will be automatically motivated to work hard seeing your peers. This is because the crowd at IISc Bangalore consists of dedicated and hardworking students.
It is ultimately your hard work and dedication that will help you perform well at IISc Bangalore.
I am a student at NIT Agartala, so I’ll provide you with some details on the placement scenario at my college.
The placements are pretty decent and are improving each year. Core companies- TATA Motors, L&T Construction, Maruti Suzuki, FIAT, etc. visit the campus. PSUs like NTPC, PowerGrid, HPCL, and BPCL, etc. also visit for core placements. Google, Sapientnitro, ITC Limited, Polaris, Oracle, Virtusa, HCL, etc. are the top recruiters in the IT sector.
Students are placed both on campus and off campus. The highest packages are grabbed by CSE students. Various startup brands also visit the campus for placements. Some students are offered multiple job profiles, while some receive PPOs in their pre final years.
Practice good communication skills and acquire sound knowledge of your branch. If you do this, you’ll surely get placed in a good brand.
AFMC Pune has a beautiful campus and you will create a lot of unforgettable memories here. My friend was a student and shared a lot of pictures of his college days. I am attaching a few for reference:

No, I don't agree with you. My friend was a student at IIT BHU and still reminisces about her time spent in Varanasi. Although she is staying in New Delhi currently a part of Varanasi still stays with her she misses the pollution-free air of Varanasi and the scenic moments she spent by the river.
Her current life in Delhi is very urban and fast-paced and she misses the tranquility of Varanasi. So it is untrue that you will feel bad about staying in an old city with no good places to hang out. Every city offers a unique experience and so does IIT BHU. You need to come prepared for all this.
FMS Delhi gives 50% weightage to the CAT score, which maximum weightage is given to the verbal section of the CAT. Class 10th and 12th are given 10% weightage each. If your 10th and 12th score is 60-75%, then you will receive a 5% score, and if it is more than 75%, then you will receive a 10% score.
Your 10th and 12th score is low, but you can still make up things in the CAT exam, especially in the verbal section and your interview and SOP discussion, interviews at FMS has been given a weightage of 15%. Your graduation percentage is just above the cut-off of 50%, which might create problems for you in admissions, but yes, miracles do happen.
If you score well in your CAT and interviews, there are chances. For other IIMs, the criteria remain somehow similar. All of them gives priority to CAT score and interviews.
If you have a choice between IIIT Vadodara and any other well-established NIT or IIIT for a Btech in CSE/IT, you should go for the latter as IIIT Vadodara lacks proper infrastructure and resources. However, studying B.tech in CSE at IIIT Vadodara is a rigorous course that offers different course content from other colleges, making students good engineers. The professors put in equal amounts of hard work to deliver their content in a professional manner, and there are ample resources available online for students.
IIIT Vadodara is a good option as it provides exposure to both theory and industrial practice, and the institute has improved immensely. The placements are also getting better, with tech giants recognizing IIIT Vadodara and aiding in projects through developer student clubs and Mozilla student club
