I’m currently in my second year of B.Tech Software Engineering at DTU, and honestly, I think it’s totally worth it. The curriculum is super updated, especially with the NEP being applied, so we’re learning stuff that’s really relevant in today’s tech world.
Placement records are good, and while it does depend on personal skills, I’ve seen friends with decent coding abilities land internships and jobs at top companies like Google and Apple. You do need to maintain a CGPA of 7.5+ for internships, but if you’re dedicated, it’s manageable.
Plus, the campus life is vibrant with loads of fests and societies to join, which helps in networking.
BA Economics Honours is one of the newest courses offered by Delhi Technological University under the University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME), alongside BBA and MBA, at the new campus in Vivek Vihar Phase 2. It was inaugurated in 2017. Speaking of the faculty for BA Economics Honours, it is overall quite good. Several professors at DTU come from esteemed colleges of DU. Notably, there is a retired Dean from DSE teaching Micro and Macro Economics to first-year students. DTU has hired professors with extensive experience at DU or those who are academically strong. The curriculum aligns with what DU or IP University offers. Elective subjects are chosen by the faculty with input from students for each semester. Regarding attendance, students are required to maintain a minimum of 75%. As mentioned, this is a new campus, and the college is still undergoing renovations, but it is expanding rapidly. The main building will be operational starting this session. The fee structure for the course is as follows: 73,000 (1st year), 82,000 (2nd year), and 90,000 (3rd year). Honestly, it seems that since it has...
Last year's cutoff for OBC in CSE was under a 5000 rank. So, if you score above 98 percentile, you’re in a safe zone with good chances of getting admission to Delhi Technological University. Home state reservation is quite powerful, even for the general category and other categories.
The OTHER BACKWARD CLASS CUTOFF for JEE MAINS 2023 is - 73.6114227, and this year's cutoff is expected to be almost the same. So, friends, start your revision because the JEE Mains exam is in mid-January 2024.
It’s not very hard to clear the cutoff in JEE Mains because we have three subjects: Chemistry, Physics, and Maths.

I’m enjoying my time in the B.Des course at DTU! The college offers a good mix of theoretical and practical learning, though I think some practical aspects could be emphasized more. As for placements in 2025/26, many students have secured great jobs, with some landing roles at companies like Microsoft and Google. While the highest package was 1.8 crores, the average package is around 10-12 lakhs, which is decent for a design program. The campus life is also vibrant, with plenty of clubs and activities, making it a well-rounded experience!
I'm in the B.Tech Environmental Engineering program at DTU, and while I enjoy the campus life and the support from seniors, the curriculum could use some improvement. It feels a bit outdated and doesn't fully prepare us for industry needs. As for placements in 2025/26, the situation seems promising. There are lots of companies that come for recruitment, and if you have the right skills, you can get good offers. The competition is tough, but with hard work, it’s definitely achievable!
As a student at DTU, I've found the internship scene to be quite vibrant. We have a lot of startups visiting us, which is cool because they offer hands-on roles in marketing and finance. Plus, companies like Bajaj and Mckinley Rise also come for placements. The highest package I heard about is ?13 LPA! It’s a competitive space, and while I haven’t landed an internship yet, many of my friends have been able to secure good positions with decent stipends.
I'm currently in my first year of B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at DTU, and I can tell you it’s an excellent choice! The curriculum is considered one of the best in Asia, and the faculty is highly qualified. Exams are conducted regularly, and I find them manageable as long as you're sincere. Placement opportunities here are broad; companies like Netflix, BMW, and Samsung recruit students every year. The average package is around 16 LPA, which is quite solid for freshers. Plus, there are scholarships available, so financial concerns shouldn't hold you back. Overall, I’d say DTU is a great place to kickstart your engineering career.
Doing B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from DTU has been a good experience for me. The admission process was straightforward, and I felt welcomed once I got in. The campus life is vibrant with plenty of clubs and societies to explore your interests. I like that the college supports students with scholarships and internship opportunities. For instance, the average package for placements is over 16 lakhs, which is fantastic! I would definitely recommend DTU if you’re considering a tech-based field.

Biotechnology, which merges biology and technology, is an applied science. India offers a unique set of advantages for the large-scale practice of biotechnology that no other country can match. The Department of Biotechnology at DTU was established in 2004 with a vision to create a significant impact through research and technology-based training. DTU's Biotechnology program has only 34 UG seats, resulting in less competition. For the complete syllabus of Biotechnology at DTU, visit http://goo.gl/a1quFl.
