Nirma University is UGC recognized and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. NIT Surat, formerly known as the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), is one of the thirty NITs recognized by the Indian government. The institute is home to the World Bank's 'Center of Excellence,' which studies flood control and water supplies. Nirma University is ranked 136th and SVNIT is ranked 54th by NIRF 2020 in Engineering.

Nirma University-

• Admission to B.Tech programs is through JEE mains or GUJCET and ACPC, Gujrat. While for B. Arch programs, students need a NATA score.

• Admission to M.tech programs is through the GATE score.

• For MBA programs at NIRMA University, students require a valid CAT score.

• Admission to doctoral programs is done through scores obtained in national entrance tests such as GATE/NET/JRF and SET.

Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) has been ranked 10th and 11th in the categories engineering and overall by the NIRF rankings in 2019. The institute has tie-ups with the University of Cambridge (UK), University of Oxford (UK), University of Sheffield (UK). It offers B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering as a full-time four-year course at a fee of Rs 8.62 Lakhs for the full period.

Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneshwar has been ranked 17th in the engineering category by the NIRF rankings in 2019. The institute offers B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering as a full-time four-year course at a fee of Rs 8.63 Lakhs for the full period. The course ranks 11th, 15th, 22nd by India Today, The Week, and NIRF respectively at the institute.

Both institutes being IITs are among the best in the country for Computer Science Engineering. Being IITs, both institutes have the same curriculum, fees, and similar infrastructure facilities. However, IIT BHU ranks a touch above its counterpart. Placement packages offered at BHU are also better than Bhubaneshwar, making it the better choice. The choice between the shall also depend on the preferred city.

UIT RGPV Bhopal is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidiyalaya (RGPV). The institute has highly experienced faculty members most of them being PhD holders from institutes like IITs and NITs. 

LNCT-S Bhopal is approved by AICTE and was ranked 100 in the engineering category by NIRF 2018. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidiyalaya (RGPV). 

Admission Details - 

• Students should have 50-60% in their 10+2 qualifying exams.
• JEE rank is mandatory for BTech admission.

So, choosing CSE over Automobile Engineering in any college of your choice will be a better option because of the former's popularity and demand.

IIIT Naya Raipur has been ranked 75 for Engineering by JEE Cutoff 2019. NIT Nagaland has a NIRF 2020 rank of 67 in the engineering category. NIT Nagaland is an autonomous university recognized by AICTE and UGC whereas IIIT Naya Raipur is a public-private partnership affiliated by UGC.

Admission:

To be eligible for admission, students are expected to have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 75% along with their JEE Main score.

• At IIIT Naya Raipur, for B.Tech, the total fees are in the range of Rs. 7 lakhs.

• At NIT Nagaland, the total fees for programs like B.Tech lie in the range of Rs. 4 lakhs.

IIIT Naya Raipur -

IIIT Naya Raipur-

• For the year 2019, a total of 39 students were placed in IIIT Naya Raipur. 58% of the total no. of CSE students were placed.

• The major recruiters for IIIT Naya Raipur were Chhattisgarh infotech, TCS, Utopia Global, Carl Zeiss.

NIT Nagaland-

• NIT Nagaland conducted the 2019 placement drive wherein 22 students were recruited from various departments.

• The highest CTC worth Rs. 10.5 LPA was bagged by the CSE department students offered by Allstate.
