Companies like Microsoft and Jane Street come here, and the stipends for quant roles can go up to 20 lakhs!

Textile at IIT Delhi can potentially lead to jobs in IT and even MBA opportunities!

However, ECE is generally considered a stronger course. I don’t have much insight about IIT Dhanbad.

I would definitely choose Electrical Engineering! The reason is straightforward. The career opportunities for an Electrical Engineer are much broader than those for Mathematics and Computing. In Mathematics and Computing, the industry options are mostly limited to IT, focusing on areas like Analytics, Operations Research, and Optimization. However, as an Electrical Engineering graduate, you can not only enter IT but also explore various fields related to your core discipline. For example:

• Power Industry
• Energy Sector
• Electronic Goods Manufacturing
• Process Industry
• Consulting

And the list goes on! Given the wide range of choices, opting for Electrical Engineering is a smart move. It will provide you with an excellent launchpad—believe me!

I can’t comment on what other IITs offer in their MBA programs, but I can share insights from the MBA program at IIT Kanpur over the past one and a half years. Here are some common concerns addressed:

1. Placements:
While I can't disclose all placement figures, I can say that students were placed within just 5 days, achieving an average package of around 9.8 LPA and a median of about 9 LPA. Companies recruiting included Amazon, LAVA International, Deloitte, ITC Infotech, and others in the same league.

2. International Tie-ups:
IIT Kanpur has numerous partnerships with foreign universities, providing various programs to apply for. There are opportunities like international exchange programs; for instance, I participated in one in Japan, fully funded by the Japanese government. Such programs are available based on your interests, and international internships and placements are offered by companies like Mitsui Chemicals, which is one of our regular recruiters.

For my B.Tech in Textile Technology at IIT Delhi, the total fee is approximately 13-14 lakhs over four years. For the B.Tech + M.Tech in Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi, the fees are close to 1,19,000 annually. I’ve been here for a while, and I can say that while the curriculum is manageable and there are good internship opportunities, the financial aspect can be tough without scholarships. The hostel situation isn't the best either, but overall, it’s a solid choice for those who want to dive deep into chemical engineering.

Engineering Physics at IIT Delhi focuses primarily on material science and applied optics. There isn't a strong theoretical division, but a few professors have research interests in nuclear physics and astrophysics. From the second year onward, courses will include nanotechnology and thin films, as the experimental physics division at IIT Delhi is robust. The course structure spans the physics department, electrical department, and various interdisciplinary departments (though you will have some optional courses to choose based on your interests). Consider joining Engineering Physics at IITs if:

• You are genuinely interested in pursuing higher studies (in physics) like a Master's, PhD, or Postdoc (this degree is a great asset for you).
