AG
Apoorva Girde Posted On : September 21st, 2023
MBBS from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (2021)

The procedure for obtaining transcripts from MUHS Nashik Maharashtra is pretty simple, the only problem being the time taken. The primary step is to collect all the required documents like

  • Mark sheets all passing years
  • Degree certificate
  • Thesis topic (PG)approval copy from university.

All the above documents should be attested. Later speed post these documents to their address. You can pay online and attach the receipt to the list of documents. Once done, can confirm whether they received your documents through phone. It will take around a month or so to post your transcript at your address with 5–7 copies of it.

Studied at Manipal University

Here are a few tips for new graduates at the Manipal Institute of Technology

  • Develop social connections not only within college but outside the college too. Talk to students from different colleges to broaden your perspective.
  • Develop a healthy rapport with your seniors as they are better guides than your teachers. They will help you in deciding your career and activities.
  • Maintain a good bond with your teachers and make yourself known by interacting with them frequently during classes.
  • Spend your free time reading books in the library other than your course books. Explore and excite your intellectual senses.
  • Instead of staying holed up in your room the entire day, go and explore the beautiful city of Manipal and the other places outside it.
  • Go through your curriculum to get an idea of what the branch is teaching you. Dont just depend on classroom sessions, go through online study material too.
  • Actively participate in your college fests as it is a unique learning experience.
  • Come out of your comfort zone and face challenges. Live your ostel life to the fullest.

Personally, I feel that the first year is the best experience you will have as you are not burdened with the pressure of career-making so you are free to make as many mistakes as you can. Eventually, you will outgrow your fears and come out stronger!

AJ
Arshit Jain Posted On : January 6th, 2023
Studied at NITIE

During NITIE Mumbai placements in 2022, 107 companies visited the campus and 157 PPOs were offered. Furthermore, during NITIE Mumbai placements 2022, the highest and average packages offered were INR 49 LPA and INR 25.4 LPA, respectively. Leading companies such as Accenture, Amazon, and HUL were among the top NITIE Mumbai recruiters in 2022.

Many students, particularly in PGDIE and PGDMM, left/left the college after being placed in PSU in the first year. Even in the PGDIM, many students leave/leave for higher-ranked colleges if they are on a waiting list. Since its inception, it has been 100% successful in terms of placement.

Which is the best hostel (overall) to live in when at IIT BHU ?

DN
Debarati Nag Posted On : August 13th, 2020
Studied Computer Science at Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi (2013)

Aryabhatta Hostel is the best hostel to live in when at IIT BHU. This is due to the following reasons:

  • It is the most recently built hostel i.e. in the year 2016 and has all the latest facilities in the bathrooms and with the doors and windows.
  • The rooms are most spacious among all the hostels in the campus.
  • It’s the nearest to Hyderabad Gate, DG Cornet, and CV Raman.
  • The Swimming Pool is just behind the hostel.
  • The hostel is allotted to the 1st year students in undergraduate, M.Tech, and Ph.D. people.
  • The common hall is so big that you can play cricket there!
  • It’s 3 floors tall and that makes it the only hostel with 3 floors on campus.
  • There’s the best badminton court amongst all hostels and including gymkhana.
  • It has 3 canteens, again the most in a single hostel on campus.

Although this may vary from person to person. Aryabhatta is a hostel which you’d like coming into college as you’ll be having high expectations from college and this is the hostel with the most modern facilities. This might change once you progress in college life and by 4th year you’d love to be in Rajputana and Limbdi Hostels as they’re the centre point of the college and are pretty much near to everything essential for a student.

Which is the best hostel (overall) to live in when at IIT BHU?

PG

The best hostel to live at IIT BHU is the Vivekanand Hostel. Once you spend your time there, you will never want to switch hostels. Here are short reviews of the other 4 hostels.

  1. Morvi Hostel: A decent hostel with nice lawns, hygienic toilets, and LAN ports. It just acks basic
  2. Guantanamo Bay: One of the worst hostels to stay at at IIT BHU. The hostel did not have lawns and was surrounded by mud. The worst part of this hostel is the uncleaned toilets and unhygienic living conditions.
  3. Vivekanand Hostel:Decent double-seater rooms and big lawns surrounded the hostel. The sports facilities are awesome including a badminton and a volleyball court
  4. Visvesvaraya Hostel: A very pathetic hostel with poor living conditions where students are literally stuffed together. The only good thing was its location and the canteen. The mess, and LAN network all made life challenging here.

Overall, I consider Vivekanand Hostel to be the best for me.

How is IIT Kharagpur?

AC
Anumita Chatterjee Posted On : March 23rd, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK)

IIT Kharagpur is a premier engineering and technology institute in India, being one of the oldest and most reputed institutes of technology in the country. It is well known for its high-quality education, research, and innovation. The institute boasts of a strong academic curriculum, excellent faculty, and a diverse student body. Its Central Library speaks highly of its top notch infrastructure.

However, some of its labs are in bad condition. The development at IIT Kharagpur is very slow with only one market within the campus.

  • Food is delivered on campus through Zomato and Swiggy.
  • Shopping can be done by traveling to Kolkata. For urgent needs one can visit either Gole Bazar or Big Bazaar or Reliance Trends situated outside the campus.
  • For entertainment, Bollywood/Bengali movies are played inside the campus in Netaji Auditorium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Apart from it, one movie hall (Bombay Cineplex) is also situated near Big Bazar/Jagannath Mandir.
  • IIT KGP has zero transport facilities and the most difficult part is commuting from one place to another. The auto rickshaws are extremely old and create air pollution. Students cannot really travel after 8-9 pm.
  • The mess food needs special attention because the quality of food served is very substandard. It’s unhygienic and unhealthy compared to the food served at other IITs.

The only positive aspects of IIT KGP are its technical and cultural fests like Springfest that is East India’s biggest fest. Apart from this, IIT KGP definitely needs to focus on outside development.

Can someone give me a priority order for these MBBS colleges Seth Gs , Grant, KGMU, BHU, CMC Vellore, AIIMS (except Delhi)?

NM
Nikhil Mishra Posted On : November 18th, 2022
M.B.B.S. from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (Graduated 2017)

Every college is good in one or the other aspects. Its location, faculty, and infrastructure are the main factors that determine a college's priority. The following list contains the colleges in order of priority based on their pros and cons.

Pros:

  • BHU: No requirement to sign a bond

  • Seth GS: Located in Mumbai with the best academic structure

  • KGMU Lucknow: The location and academic structure are perfect.

  • Other AIIMS: No need to sign any bond and the fee structure is affordable. AIIMS tag can help you with USMLE purposes.

Cons:

  • BHU: Located in Varanasi, it lacks the facilities of metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai

  • Seth GS: Mumbai is expensive and a bond of 1 year needs to be signed

  • CMC Vellore: You will have to learn Tamil as it is located South India. The fee structure is pretty expensive.

  • Other AIIMS: They are usually not located in a good location except for Bhopal and Bhubaneswar.

The preferred order as per the pros and cons can be - BHU> AIIMS> KGMU> Grant> Seth GS> CMC Vellore

One college can be good for you but bad for others. This is because your own needs determine which college is best for you. So choose wisely.

How do I get transcripts from Acharya Nagarjuna University?

AP
Ananya Pillai, Posted On : October 30th, 2021
B.Com. from Acharya Nagarjuna University (2018)

The best way to get the transcripts from Acharya Nagarjuna University is through Click Transcripts.

  • They are one of the oldest service providers and they are experts in this field.
  • They will get the whole process done on your behalf. You have to submit the correct documents to them.
  • One of my friends did it from Acharya Nagarjuna University for WES.
  • He made an application on their website and uploaded the correct documents.
  • His transcripts were sent directly from the university to WES and also his application was accepted because it went directly from the university.

They are helping a number of students to get their transcripts done from their respective universities.

Is the CUSAT school of engineering or model engineering college better?

DD
Dimple Dixit Posted On : April 9th, 2021
B. Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Model Engineering College (2019)

It depends upon a lot of parameters. If you wish to enjoy it, definitely go for MEC. It might not be such a good choice as far as infrastructure is concerned, but it does excel in the aspects which matter the most, the prime aspect being, a secure future.

If you have a look at the placement statistics, they would show you the return on investment you would get in MEC. Being a small college unlike SOE, the students get to know most of the people in college. As far as teaching and placements are concerned, MEC is far better than SOE.

Categories

CUSAT

MEC

Course Fee

3.53 lakh

1.05-1.54 lakh

Placement Percentage

75-80%

Highest CTC

20 LPA

Average CTC

5-6 LPA

8 LPA

Recruiting Companies

Infosys, L&T, IBM, TCS, etc.

Amazon, Flipkart, Deloitte, TCS, etc.

If you go by the outside world, people might even call it a ‘school’, but unless you experience it yourself, you will never know the uniqueness. It all depends upon you. If you want to balance your studies as well as have fun MEC would be best for you.

But, at the end of the day, it’s you, not the college. As both the institutes have an equal status in their own unique ways.

How is NIT Silchar for electrical engineering?

DB
Devdutta Bose Posted On : August 25th, 2023
Studied at National Institute of Technology Silchar (2019)

My brother completed his B.Tech Electrical Engineering from NIT Silchar. According to him-

  1. Course Structure - The course structure is good but some upgrading is needed. There is more Power Engineering (for example topics like Power Systems, Machines, Drives, etc.). You should join ECE if you are into Electronics, VLSI design, Embedded Systems, Hardware Programming, etc. But even with Electrical, you will get 6 electives in your senior year to quench your thirst for knowledge. Few labs focus on MATLAB.
  2. Faculty and attendance criteria - The faculty consists of qualified teachers. However, the EE faculty is way more strict than the faculties of other departments at NIT Silchar. EE is the most strict department for attendance. Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory for most courses.
  3. Placements - Core placements aren’t really high for EE students. Only a few students get placed in PSUs. Other than that, EE students can sit for placements in Finance, Analytics, and IT. Business Executive, Managerial, and Sales Executive are other profiles that are open to Electrical students.
  4. Infrastructure and labs - The infrastructure of NIT Silchar is good, especially when compared to other NITs. The UG B.Tech labs are of decent quality.

EE at NIT Silchar is not a department where you can relax. It demands a lot of hard work from its students. But once you show dedication and commitment, this department will enhance your personality and knowledge.
