Manipal University Jaipur:

• It boasts of a 75% placement record for Engineering students and a 95% placement record for Non-Engineering students.

NIT Jalandhar

• Last year, the highest package offered was INR 39.02 LPA by Adobe and Microsoft and the average package was INR 11.63 LPA.
• Placement percentages for ECE and CSE was the highest with 94.87% and 94.05 % respectively.

Both are Tier-3 colleges and students may choose based on the placement and professional prospects of the program chosen.

Bharti Vidyapith Pune is UGC approved and has ranked 9th among the top Law colleges by India Today in 2020. Symbiosis Hyderabad is relatively new in the field and thus has managed to have two graduate batches so far (2019 and 2020). The institute has NAAC accreditation with an ‘A’ grade.

Both the institutes are reputed and offer good infrastructure and placement opportunities to the students. Therefore, choosing either one can get really tricky. However, some major factors can be taken into account in order to make the final call.

Admission:

Symbiosis Hyderabad:

• Aspiring students who want to take admission at Symbiosis Hyderabad for BA L.L.B must clear the SLAT exam

• The cut-off SLAT score remains around 76.

Bharti Vidyapith:

• In order to take admission here, students must qualify for the entrance test conducted by the institute itself. Both for BA L.L.B and for L.L.M students have to qualify for entrance tests.

• The cut-off remains between 85%-90%.

Scholarship:

Symbiosis Hyderabad:

• They offer scholarships to students who have cleared SET/SNAP or any such examination.

• Around eight financial scholarships are offered to the UG students and twelve scholarships are offered to the PG students.

Bharati Vidyapith:

Upon taking permission from the college authority, students can apply for educational loans. However, there is no such scholarship offer that is provided by the institute itself.

Bharti Vidyapith:

• More than 90% of students get placed every year from this institute.

• Some of the top recruiters are JP Morgan, Amazon, WNS Group, Cognex, and Syntel.

• The highest and medium salary packages remain to be around 15 LPA and 8 LPA.

Apart from these factors, some of the other important aspects are infrastructure and faculty. As per the records, all the faculty members are helpful and experienced in their field at the institutes. Hostel facilities are provided to the students on both campuses. As for which will be better, you should decide that.

Both CSE and IT follows the same curriculum till 3rd year of college. You will only find a few different subjects in your final year. IT on a broad scale deals with the networking and security part. On the other hand, CSE is all about the development of software, applications, and programming.

However, it is suggested that you opt for IT at IET Lucknow instead of UIT (RGPV) CSE if you are concerned about the placement scenario. It is so because IET has better placement offers. Not only this but the overall structure and curriculum of IT are extremely good. Being an autonomous institution, IET Lucknow offers more benefits than the other institutions.

The average package offered to the CSE students at IET is around INR 4.5 Lakhs per annum as per the placement report of the institute in the year.

Out of the two private engineering colleges, Heritage Institute of Technology and BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology, the former is better in everything. Whether it is the quality of study, faculty, and placement record, infrastructure, academics, or any other factors, Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private engineering college in Kolkata. So, given the choice between Heritage Institute of Technology and BP Poddar of Management and Technology, go for the former. 

First of all, it depends on your interest whether you want to pursue engineering in Mechanical or Civil, and only then you can decide the better college. As the engineering branches are different it’s difficult to pick one college over the other.

Comparing the two courses in terms of placements offered last year, we see 83% of the Mechanical branch students got placed in IIT Bhubaneswar with average CTC 11.4 LPA. 77% of the Civil students in IITG got placed last year. The average package offered in IIT Guwahati was around 11 LPA while the highest went up to 39 LPA.

Being the older IIT, the infrastructure of IITG is good and the placements for both the core as well as the non-core sectors are also quite good. IIT Bhubaneswar has been showing good numbers in recent years and is developing gradually.

You can also look for some other options for mechanical other than IIT Bhubaneswar. If you manage to get a good score in Mains, you can look for admission in old NIT where you will get better future opportunities also good placement packages. While IIT Guwahati being an older institute is expected to attract many of the major recruiters from all the sectors and provide good CTC.

So, choose the college based on your branch of interest.
