IIITDM Jabalpur

• For B.Tech CS admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur, the selection criteria are based on JEE Mains and the candidate should be passed with minimum 50% marks with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects.
• For M.Tech, the selection criteria are the GATE score and the candidate must have a B.Tech degree with a minimum of 55% marks.

• For placement in electrical engineering, a wide range of companies ranging from multinational companies, national giants, and non-core companies visit SVNIT.
• Emerson, Ericsson, Schneider Electric, Phillips, TATA Power, Godrej, Reliance Jio, and Infosys are some of the giant recruiters at the institute.
• For the academic year 2017-18, overall, 503 undergraduate students were placed with a median salary ofINR 667000, whereas 109 postgraduate students were placed with a median salary of INR 534000.

IIITDM Jabalpur

• The students graduating from 2020 batch has already received around 177 job offers which include 149 full-time offer and 28 pre-placement offers. 3 students from the CS department took the highest pay package of INR23 lakhs and 15 other students received offers close to paying packages of INR15-14 lakhs.
• Reliance Jio, Amazon, Microsoft, Yantriks, LensBricks, Samsung R&D, and 1mg is the giant corporate recruiters of the institute.

In SVNIT for electrical placements are few (40%), also the companies which visit for electrical students are primarily for the IT department, and they offer the lowest packages. Whereas placement records at IIITDM Jabalpur are wonderful, more than 95 percent of the students in the computer science got placed with good salary packages.

Both universities have strong alumni strength. About 20,000 alumni of these universities are spread across globally, they are working in many reputed companies like Amazon and Microsoft.

PES University:

• The average and highest CTC offered recruiters are 6.8 LPA and 48 LPA.

• Reputed companies visited in 2019 such as Amazon, Cisco, Deloitte, Flipkart, HP, Microsoft, IBM, LinkedIn, etc.

BVB University:

As of 2019 BVB university offered a medium salary of about 4-5 LPA and reached the highest salary up to 19 LPA by Microsoft technologies and Samsung R&D.

PES University is the better one as compared to BVB (KLE technical university). The placement record 2019 of PES University is quite impressive as compared to BVB university and especially for engineering domains. Around 150 companies visit PESU for placement. One of the best advantages of PES university is that it is placed in Bengaluru where various IT companies are there in which they are able to learn many things by attaining a workshop, find internships easily.

Both Amity University, Noida, and Sharda University offer several different options when considering a B. Tech degree at either institute. NIT Nagaland has a NIRF 2020 rank of 67 and NIT Rourkela has a rank of 19 in the engineering category. NIT Nagaland is an autonomous institution recognized by AICTE and UGC whereas NIT Rourkela is a government institute and a deemed university.

Admission-

To be eligible for admission, students are expected to have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 75% along with their JEE Main score.

• For NIT Rourkela, for programs like B.Tech, the total fees are in the range of Rs. 3 Lakhs to Rs. 9 lakhs.

• At NIT Nagaland, the total fees for programs like B.Tech lie in the range of Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 4 lakhs respectively.

JEE Main cutoff 2019 -

• NIT Rourkela - For the PE branch it was 6540 and 9210 as the opening and closing rank respectively for General category students from other states. For reserved categories, the opening and closing ranks were 923 and 3148 respectively.

• NIT Nagaland - For the CSE branch it was 14369 and 18706 as the opening and closing rank respectively for General category students from other states. For reserved categories, the opening and closing ranks were 1338 and 5352 respectively for students from other states.

Placement -

• For the year 2019, a total of 909 students were placed in NIT Rourkela.

• NIT Nagaland conducted the 2019 placement drive wherein 22 students were recruited from various departments. The highest CTC worth Rs. 10.5 LPA was bagged by the CSE department students offered by Allstate.

• For NIT Nagaland, Allstate, Power Grid, Lakshaya, Vedanta, L&T, Toppers, Mphasis, were the top recruiters.

• The major recruiters for NIT Rourkela were Amazon, Bajaj, Microsoft, Ford, Larsen and Toubro, Pepsico, Wipro, Tata Steel.

• At NIT Rourkela, the PE department got a total of 80 job offers. With the highest CTC of Rs. 11 LPA and the average CTC was Rs. 6.53 LPA.
