Which is better, CSE at Thapar, CSE at IIITM Gwalior, or CSE at VIT?

US
Urmila Sethi Posted On : March 20th, 2023
Studied at IIITM Gwalior
If you are studying Computer Science Engineering at IIITM Gwalior, you can expect your batch mates who scored less than 10K in JEE Main to have a better quality than those at VIT and Thapar. By studying at IIITM, you can enjoy better recognition since it is an institute of national importance. IIITM Gwalior has been established since 1997, which means that professionals in the industry are more likely to recognize it compared to newer IIITs or state government colleges. During the 2022 placement season, the average package offered to students at IIITM was INR 24.85 LPA. This indicates that the institute has a strong reputation in the industry and is highly sought after by recruiters. As a result, your chances of securing a good job with a high salary are increased.

Should I take CS at CCET Chandigarh or electrical at PEC?

KS
Khushi Singhal Posted On : June 30th, 2021
Electronics and Communication Engineering at Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology

Based on the review that I received from my friends at these two institutes I will say PEC is better. But if you have an interest in CSE then go for CCET.

Placements - CCET:

  • The placement rate here is 80 to 90 percent.
  • The average package offered here is up to 6 lakhs.

Placements - PEC(electrical):

  • The placement rate is 93 percent.
  • The average package offered up to 10 lakhs per annum (2020 placements).
  • Alston, Goldman Sachs, EXL services, and others were among the major companies that hire from the electrical industry.

In terms of reputation, infrastructure, art, and culture, PEC is superior.

Which is better, EXTC in KJ Somaiya or IT in Vivekanand (considering I like both branches)?

AR
Anupam Roy Posted On : June 25th, 2021
Studied at Jadavpur University (2018)

Both EXTC in KJ Somaiya and IT in Vivekanand are very good courses to pursue, but let's look at some factors before making a decision.

Location :

  • The place where KJ Somaiya is located is a very good area.
  • There are two nearby railway stations Tilaknagar and Vidyavihar. So transportation is easier.
  • But Vivekanand is far away from Chembur and Kurla and it will take you much time to reach the college unless you get a monorail, but it is not available every time.
  • So, here KJ Somaiya will be a better choice.

Autonomous :

  • Autonomous universities provide the opportunity of taking up an internship or a full time job even before completing your 8th semester.

Campus :

  • The campus of KJ Somaiya is very beautiful and big in area with all the modern facilities.
  • They also encourage extracurricular activities.

Placements :

  • The placement of both the colleges are very good.
  • But students from EXTC in KJ Somaiya will have an advantage as they will be eligible to sit for both IT companies as well as core EXTC companies.

How is Vivekanand Business School (VBS), Mumbai compared to IBS Hyderabad?

DS
Divya Saraf Posted On : June 3rd, 2023
Lives in Hyderabad

Both VBS Mumbai and IBS Hyderabad are at par with each other but what makes one different from the other is the batch strength and location. They are typically regarded as same-league colleges, however, VBS would be the personal choice because of its AICTE accreditation and since its 2-year full-time PGDM degree is at par with a regular MBA degree. The atmosphere is vibrant and the environment is friendly which draws students. Your MBA is a valuable investment. It’s supposed to broaden your understanding of how corporate works. AM
Anindita Mukherjee Posted On : July 29th, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2019)

UIT RGPV and IET DAVV are government institutes and situated in Madhya Pradesh. Being a government institute both of them have less fees. The location of both the colleges is amazing and in a developed city. UIT RGPV is situated in Indore whereas IET- DAVV in Bhopal.

Both of the cities are almost the same with some differences:-

  • The cut-off for IET DAVV is higher than UIT due to its academic performance and wellness.
  • Placement records and stats are also better in IET with a lot of exposure from the industries.
  • Internships are again better at IET with high-end companies especially the core companies.
  • UIT RGPV is said to have a better campus than IET and also has no attendance conditions required
  • Counseling and doubt sessions are daily kept by professors at IET DAVV.
  • IET DAVV is ranked the 2nd best Institute in Madhya Pradesh which is a bonus point. It has a better ROI.
Categories UIT RGPV IET DAVV
Course Fee 23,920 (1st year) 2.74 lakh
Highest CTC 8-10 LPA 21 LPA
Average CTC 5-6 LPA 11 LPA
Recruiting Companies TCS, Bosch, ICICI Bank, HCL, etc. Wipro, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, etc.

In case of different subject offers from the institutes choose the one where you are interested in. IET DAVV is better than UIT RGPV for several years. When given a choice between CSE and ECE then definitely go for CSE as it is more in demand.

LNCT Bhopal is better than JP Guna. Here are the reasons why.

  • Placement is amazing at LNCT Bhopal in comparison with that of JP Guna. Most of the companies prefer to visit LNCT instead of JP Guna because of everything that the city of Bhopal has to offer.
  • The top recruiters at LNCT include Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant whereas the top recruiters of JP Guna are Cisco, DE Shaw, SAP Labs, Intuit, and Cognizant.
  • The city of Bhopal would also provide you with an adequate amount of resources for your college life and in case you wish to prepare for a competitive examination during your course.
  • There are many coaching institutes in Bhopal that offer assistance for competitive examinations like GATE, GMAT, CAT, etc.
  • The cost of courses at JP Guna is also higher than that of LNCT.
