Which is better, CSE in MAIT or IT in USICT?

DB
Devansh Bhatia Posted On : April 23rd, 2021
B.Tech from USCIT, graduated in 2019

Both USICT and MAIT have an attractive campus. They also provide special USS benefits to the students.

One of my relatives used to be a student of USICT. In spite of being a student of that institute, he holds both institutes in high regard. A lot of students come from distant places and traveling gets time-consuming.

Before you choose your institute, make sure you keep the distance factor in mind because you might very well be spending several hours. This can be detrimental to you and other students who will take pains to reach the institute. Four years is not a short time, after all.

As for placements, you will be allowed to sit in for companies at IP University’s main entrance if you meet the requirements of eligibility and if your aggregate cut-off meets the requirements.

CSE in MAIT will give you a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. The department is also very supportive. The package you will get would be pretty decent if you are not really on the core technical side. Your expertise will determine the package you will be offered. The seniors and faculty will guide you in that regard.

How can I migrate to USICT IT or ECE from MAIT it?

RO
Rajesh Ojha Posted On : July 13th, 2021
B.Tech from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (2020)

A friend of mine used to be a student of MAIT and he heard that it was possible to migrate from one college to another. He was told that for moving from one college to another, you have to have a ‘no objection certificate from the college you are migrating from and the college you are migrating to. Good grades are also mandatory for moving to and from colleges.

In addition to these, you will also have to fill forms after completion of the first year on the main website of the college. Of course, you will have to submit the form to the college you are currently in.

Hope this clears some doubts.

Which is better for CSE/IT Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), MAIT, MSIT, USICT or BVCOE?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : November 24th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

There are several parameters to compare B.Tech CSE/IT at all these colleges. However, I have listed the placement stats of CSE/IT branches at these to make your choice easier-

Placements-

  • Manipal University Jaipur-

Various companies recruited CS/IT students from Manipal University Jaipur this year. Some of these were- Accenture, Adobe, Amazon, Capgemini, Cisco, Cognizant, Dell Technologies, etc. This year, 98% engineering students were successfully placed from MUJ at an average package of 9 LPA.

  • MAIT-

Last year, 35 CSE students were successfully placed from MAIT. The list of recruiters included- Atlassian, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, ION Trading, Juspay Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bain & Company, etc. Atlassian offered the highest package of 57.6 LPA, followed by 44 LPA from Amazon.

  • MSIT-

Atlassian, CRED, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Google and Cisco were some of the companies that offered jobs to CS/IT Students from MSIT this year. The highest package of 80 LPA was offered by Atlassian, followed by CRED which offered 52 LPA.

  • USICT

The branch-wise placement records are not available for USICT. But the overall placement stats are available for reference. Last year, various companies visited the USICT campus for placements. Some of them were- Amazon, Byju’s, Oracle, HCL, TCS, Huawei, etc.

The highest package was 45 LPA, and the average package was 12 LPA. In total, 70+ companies visited the campus, and 90% students were successfully placed.

  • BVCOE

Last year, 112 CSE students and 101 IT students were successfully placed both on and off campus. Some of the recruiting companies were- Cognizant, Amazon, TCS, TATA 1mg, Yamaha Motors, Accenture,Wipro, etc. Overall, 44 LPA was the highest package for 2022, and the average package was 6.5 LPA.

The placements at all these colleges were good. However, the figures made the scenarios a bit more clear. The choice ultimately depends on your personal preference.

How are the patient load and clinical exposure at LLRM Medical College?

G
GalacticGlitch Posted On : February 26th, 2026

The patient load at LLRM Medical College is quite good, especially during our internship at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital, where the patient flow is above average. As a B.Sc Nursing student, we get to experience different wards, OTs, and emergency departments, which really enhances our knowledge of various diseases. This clinical exposure has been invaluable for my learning.

How good is usict?

C
CrypticCrafter Posted On : February 25th, 2026

USICT, being the primary campus of IP, definitely has its advantages.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. With courses like MCA, M.Tech, CT, and Law, you'll likely expand your network. The two-story library has everything you need. There's also ample parking and facilities for sports like football, badminton, lawn tennis, and basketball.

Placements: The placement rate improves each year. Well-known companies such as Snapdeal, Flipkart, Nagarro, Adobe, and Oracle visited for placements last year.

Clubs: There are numerous active clubs. Aveksha is great for drama enthusiasts, while Zenith E-cell supports those interested in entrepreneurship. The E-Cell at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is also notable.

One downside is the limited interaction between seniors and juniors, although seniors are making efforts, and many workshops are being organized. I haven't experienced the fests yet, but I'm looking forward to them.

In the USICT campus of IPU Delhi, which stream would be the best among CS and IT in terms of the basics of the study, most placements, average package etc?

L
LostInLevity Posted On : February 25th, 2026

I chose B.Tech in Information Technology because I’m really into tech and coding. The faculty here is mostly Ph.D. qualified, which helps in grasping the concepts better.

In terms of placements, last year was great with 70+ companies visiting, offering an average package of around 12 LPA. This year, the average has fallen to about 9 LPA, but that’s the current market scenario.

The curriculum is also practical and industry-oriented, which I appreciate. So, overall, I think IT is a strong stream to go for at USICT.

How good is USIT Delhi? How would you rate your experience there?

I
InfiniteIdiom Posted On : February 25th, 2026

My experience at USIT Delhi for my Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology has been quite good overall. The faculty is mostly highly qualified, with many professors holding PhDs. However, some teachers can be a bit strict. The exams are manageable if you start studying a bit in advance. The campus life is decent, with the annual fest Anugoonj being a highlight. The placements were excellent in 2022, with the highest package being 45 LPA and an average of 12 LPA. However, due to the recession, the placements this year have seen a decline. The fees are somewhat affordable compared to other colleges, currently at 120000 per year after an increase. Overall, it's a solid choice for IT students.

How is the campus life at USICT?

S
SentientScribe Posted On : February 25th, 2026

The campus is quite large and looks amazing, especially at night if you're staying in the hostel. The canteen is decent, though the food prices are a bit higher than what you'd expect at a government college. While there aren't tons of activities happening on campus, the annual cultural fest, Anugoonj, is a highlight.

As for technical events, the technical fest InfoXpression doesn't happen every year, but our tech groups like IEEE and Techspace are improving steadily. Around the campus, there aren't many hangout spots except for McDonald's and a local wine and beer shop, which is a popular spot for many students. Additionally, there are various fests hosted by different departments like Law and Mass Communication, offering great opportunities to participate and have fun.
