USICT is quite decent overall. I chose the Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology mainly because of my interest in coding and the reputation of the college. The faculty here is mostly qualified, with many PhD holders, which is a plus. The exams are manageable if you start studying a bit in advance.

The campus life is good too, with fests like Anugoonj that bring everyone together. However, the fees have increased to 132,000 for the first year, which is a bit steep compared to previous years, but still reasonable for a government college.

The IT department at USIT is the most established one. The faculty and courses are mostly the same for both IT and CSE, with only a couple of subjects being different. The teachers are generally shared and quite good, except for a few. The coding culture is just okay, but it's getting better. Just so you know, I was in CSE, but my friend from USICT IT (2012-16) shared this info with me to help out. Hope this helps you understand better.

PLACEMENTS: It really depends on your field of study. If you're in CSE or IT, the job placements are pretty good. For streams like MCA(SE) and ECE, they're just okay.

STUDIES: The academic environment is quite relaxed, which is great if you prefer focusing on your own studies.

HOSTELS: There are four hostels on campus, two for boys and two for girls. They are cleaner and better maintained than other hostels I've seen. The food in the mess is alright. Everyone is pretty friendly, and the atmosphere is enjoyable despite the many rules from the administration. I spent three years in the hostel, and they were some of the best times of my life.

CAMPUS: The campus is located away from the city noise but still well connected. Fun fact: a new food court opened nearby, providing a cool hangout spot with friends.

LIBRARY: The library is air-conditioned, has plenty of books, and is open until 9 PM for those living in the hostel, making it a good spot for studying, especially in the summer.

SPORTS: The campus has badminton, basketball, and tennis courts. Cricket, football, and volleyball are also played almost every evening.

EVENTS: Anugoonj, the cultural festival, happens every year and is decent. There's also an annual sports meet, which is quite entertaining if you're into sports.

And yes, the whole campus has Wi-Fi. It's incredibly fast, probably the fastest internet you'll experience, and that's no exaggeration.

I’m currently in the Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology, and I must say, the curriculum is quite comprehensive. There are lots of practicals, and the faculty is mostly helpful, even if some older teachers can be a bit tough.

I’ve noticed that the placement scenario has been a bit shaky lately, with the average package dropping to around 9 LPA this year, which is a concern. On the brighter side, the campus life is vibrant with events like Anugoonj, and the library has a great collection of books.

Fees have gone up to 132,000, but it’s still manageable compared to other private colleges.

My experience at USICT for the Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology has been pretty good so far. The curriculum is well-structured, focusing on practical applications, which I appreciate. The faculty are generally supportive, but some can be a bit strict. I've heard that internship opportunities are decent, with companies like Amazon and TCS visiting for placements.

The average package in recent years has been around 12 LPA, but I think placements have dipped a bit this year. The campus is nice, with good facilities, but the gender ratio is not great, with very few girls in my class.
