My brother is an IIT B alumnus and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from Cornell. He told me that on numerous occasions international researchers, professors, and students have expressed in front of him respect for the sharp-mindedness and prolificacy of the IIT alumni. Many scholars at Cornell consider the IITs as institutions for only the sharpest minds. Many international researchers and students know only about IITs and may mistake an IISc Bangalore alumnus for an IITian.
Now the main point is if you have the right research background, a good GPA, and exceptional letters of recommendation, it makes no difference whether you are an IITian or from IISc Bangalore. The admission committee at international universities is well aware that IISc is a top-ranked Indian institution and in many areas, ranks above the top IITs.
My brother feels that IISc could have been a better choice for him due to his inclination toward Physical Sciences. The IISc provides a great environment for research and the students there are enthusiastic about research and learning. However, as he did not go to IISc, he does not know about the ground reality.
Ultimately, whether you go to the IITs or IISc Bangalore in no way affects your admission prospects in an international institution.
My knowledge is limited to the Mechanical branch only as my brother was a student at IIT Kanpur. From what I heard about his experience, the curriculum is moderate, neither too heavy nor too light. He even saw many of his batchmates copying assignments and not doing one on their own throughout the 5 years.
The mid and end-semester exams are usually from the notes. The average of the class is very low with everyone performing poorly. up getting a B in that course. There are some exceptional professors who do tough grading, but that is rare and mostly CPI isn’t affected.
Projects and term papers are supposed to be done as a group and carry a lot of weightage. But they are quite easy as one of the studious members of the group ends up doing all the work.
In IIT Kanpur, one can easily score 7 CPI with average preparation done in 1 week for mid and end semesters while 1 or 2 days for projects/term papers. Hence I wouldn’t say the IIT Kanpur’s curriculum is harder than other IITs.
If you are planning on pursuin Computer Science then choosing PICT will be better than VIT. It offers better placement opportunities. According to the recent placement highlights the average and highest CTC offered by PICT is 7.75 LPA and 91 LPA respectively.
Don’t choose VIT, just because it is autonomous. However, it does offer flexible academics and less number of lectures. If you get a backlog, you can clear it within one month.

The placement scenario for K J Somaiya is pretty good. Big MNCs visit the campus but the probability of the students being selected or rejected depends on the student’s knowledge as well as their skill set.
The environment of K J Somaiya is very competitive. Students put in their best and work extremely hard to learn new things like programming languages, platforms, etc. It is because, by the end of the engineering degree, everybody lies at an equal level and is equally knowledgeable.

If you wish to grab the best package, you need to stand out and offer something unique from your end with regard to knowledge as well as personality. This stands true for all the other colleges as well, including IITs and VJTI.
If you are an exceptional student, you will be able to grab a good job irrespective of your college name. On the other hand, if you are an average student who is struggling to pass the subjects, then you will get an average package which would range around 25,000 per month or even worse, might not get a job at all.
AIIMS Patna has a 3 meal plan and a typical weekly mess menu looks like this.

The food is prepared with utmost care and hygiene. The menu always has a variety of dishes and you won’t find the menu boring or monotonous. It caters to the tastebuds of students from all corners of India. This is how the AIIMS Patna mess looks like

This is where the food is served
The taste of food is average and bearable though you will miss homemade food from time to time. However, the food here is much better than at other state colleges.
Even non-veg food is served here although there are restrictions on the quantity. Tea and snacks are served in the morning as refreshments.
The canteen also serves tasty food and you can go there for a change. It is managed by Moti Mahal Delux and there is a delivery service too.

All in all, the food in AIIMS Patna is of good quality and better than most top colleges.
IIEST Shibpur offers a good infrastructure to its students. Discussed below are various facilities available at the campus.
Air Conditioning: It is as per the departments to whom they supply air-conditioners. Some possess ACs in classrooms, some in labs while some in offices. This varies with the department. None of these is provided in the first year.
Sports:
Culture: The student culture is about to change as IIEST will take students from JEE Main or even Advance. Quite some time ago, the school always had a good share of other state students which was considered quite large for a government institute.
Campus: The campus is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in India and there are tons to explore. Seeing everything here needs at least a minimum of 2 years.
Flooding: The place gets regular rainfall due to The Botanical gardens. Yet, flooding is not a problem, usually.
These are the facilities that you can expect at IIEST Shibpur. Hope it was helpful.

When it comes to being a good student in engineering, the key factor is the ability to think effectively and perform well in studies while maintaining excellent practical skills. However, the opportunities provided by the institute can also play a significant role in shaping a student's career and future prospects.
Here are some points to consider when evaluating the impact of opportunities on a student's success:
However, it is important to note that the opportunities provided by an institute do not necessarily reflect the quality of education or the potential of the students. Here are some examples to illustrate this point:
In conclusion, while opportunities provided by an institute can play a significant role in shaping a student's career and future prospects, it is important to remember that they do not necessarily reflect the quality of education or the potential of the students. As a student, it is crucial to focus on developing your skills and knowledge and seek out opportunities to showcase your abilities, regardless of the institute you attend.
