NIT Warangal CSE vs IIIT Bangalore iMTech in CSE, what should I choose?
NITW and IIIT Bangalore, both have an advantage in one aspect or the other-
- Research Culture- IIIT Bangalore has a better research culture than NITW.
- Coding Culture- Both have an equally good coding culture.
- Campus life and Extracurriculars- NITW is far ahead of IIITB in terms of campus life and extracurricular facilities.
- Peer Group- Both the institutes offer equally good peers. IIIT Bangalore does not follow any reservation system during admissions.
- Infrastructure- IIITB has a better and well maintained infrastructure.
- Location- Bangalore is a better location. It offers immense exposure and plenty of opportunities.

The tuition fee for PGDIE at NITIE is 3.69 lakhs for the first year and 3.41 lakhs for the second year. This fee structure consists of your Hostel rent and other academic fees excluding mess fees.

After clearing the backlogs in B.E from VTU, does it add to my final GPA or are they not added for final CGPA calculation?
I have a few friends from VTU. According to them, only the marks obtained in your first attempt at the subjects in that semester are counted in your GPA/CGPA/Percentage.
The marks obtained in the backlog subjects in the second attempt are not considered at all, even if you score full marks.

How do I get into IIM Ahmedabad with low academics?
Even with remarkable academic achievements, admission to IIM-Ahmedabad is notoriously difficult. Before even considering IIM-Ahmedabad, there are three criteria that must be met.

To begin, one must achieve a 70 percentile in all three sections and an 80 percentile overall.

Second, for a candidate with a science background, your average of your 10th and 12th grades should be equal to or higher than 80%. If you get a 100 percentile and your average of 10th and 12th grades is less than 80, IIM-Ahmedabad will reject you.

Finally, the percentage of marks in the bachelor's degree should be set at the 80th percentile of the percentage marks in the respective ACRC group.
If you meet all three criteria, you are eligible for admission to IIM-Ahmedabad and have low academic standing. Your 10th, 12th, graduation, and work experience points are added together and multiplied by 0.35. The remaining 65% is your CAT weightage, which is calculated by dividing your marks by the highest marks scored by a candidate in the CAT exam and then multiplying by 0.65.
Academic points can be made up if you perform exceptionally well on the exam. So, instead of worrying about your academic history, try to focus on getting a high percentile, which increases your chances of getting a call even if you have low academics.

How is AKTU for B.Tech?
One of my cousins is a student at AKTU (Abdul Kalam Technical University). She shared an incident with me which will give you an idea of this university.
During her semester exams at AKTU, she faced a challenging experience. Compiler Design is a subject in the 6th semester of B.Tech. Computer Science. On her compiler design exam day, the question papers were distributed 15 minutes late. It was a regular exam for the new semester. But what she saw shocked her. On the top, it was mentioned - Carry Over Theory Paper Examination. This was a back paper for students who are reappearing and not for regular students. Sometime later a teacher made them change the code of the paper and subjects. All the students were in a panic.
