How good is BCA at Amity University, NOIDA?
Ranging from sports to dancing, Amity provides a myriad of opportunities. A student can pursue any course; he/she has interest in.
The syllabus of BCA is the same in all recognised universities in India. Hence, any question regarding the faculty cannot be deduced. In addition, it depends on students how to make lectures productive and beneficial. However, BCA without a master’s degree is of no value. Therefore, for pursuing BCA, an institute is not that important. There is no entrance test for enrollment in BCA at Amity. Anyone having mathematics as one of the subjects in 12th can take admission in Amity.

As mentioned earlier, a Master’s degree is important for BCA. Nowadays, BCA is not that popular among Professional courses. Students prefer pursuing B.Tech than BCA. The placements in Amity Noida are somewhat good. However, getting through placements depends on academic record and performance in the interview. There is a specialised placement cell to help students with the interview process.
At last doing BCA from a particular institute does not matter. Because graduating with a master’s degree, like MCA will provide many placement opportunities.
How good is industrial safety engineering from NIT Trichy? Do they have good placements?
One of my friends did the M.Tech Industrial safety engineering from NIT Trichy a few years ago. He along with his entire batch got placed. The curriculum is revised frequently as per the feedback of the alumni. The faculty of this particular program are not just regular NIT Trichy professors but employees of BHEL Trichy. They ensure an understanding of the on-field environment with the help of some exceptional case studies. Such exposure helps the students under the real challenges of the safety profession before they endeavor on this journey. The NIT Trichy engineering alumni are well-regarded in the industry.
The reason this course is famous among MTech students is that it offers better job opportunities than other MTec programs. This field will open multiple doors for you if you are passionate about it and work hard to succeed.

What is your review about NIT Jamshedpur?
My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

What is the procedure for admission into Anna University through the NRI quota?
When an NRI applies for admission to Anna University, the process is different from regular counseling. During the months of April and May, the application form for NRIs, CIWCGs, and foreign nationals is available. Your physics, chemistry, and mathematics test scores from your respective board will be used to determine which course or branch you will take. Are there any people with poor academic record who still got into any IIM, XLRI or FMS? If yes, why not share your stories here?
Yes, there are many people who converted IIM, XLRI, FMS calls, even with a poor academic record. I personally know someone who scored less than 50 percentile in engineering yet got accepted at XLRI. He performed well in MBA and now works as a senior HR at a major eCommerce company.
Academic record isn’t the only thing that these institute takes into consideration while selecting students. Your entrance examination score, performance in GD-PI, extracurricular achievements, etc. are equally important.
What do you think about BIT Mesra Jaipur Campus?
BIT Mesra Jaipur campus is one of the seven extension campuses (Jaipur, Deoghar, Patna, Lalpur, Noida, Muscat, and Ras Al Khaimah) and one polytechnic school managed by the BIT Mesra deemed university. Now it will be unfair to compare an extension campus to the main campus of any university as the overall quality of the extension campus always tends to be less than the main campus.
- Keeping in line with that, the Jaipur campus of BIT Mesra has a smaller campus area than BIT Mesra’s main campus.
- The professors are also average and the facilities provided by the campus are also lesser compared to the main campus.
- One plus point is that some of the toppers and few meritorious students are called to the main campus for the final placements.
- The placements at the main campus are good with an average CTC of 11.76 LPA and the highest CTC of 49.76 LPA.
Now, the Jaipur campus of BIT Mesra is worth joining if you are looking for a brand name and a college with average output (this campus is still in the development phase). However, do not expect the level of quality offered at BIT Mesra. You may even consider joining some better-ranked and better-equipped state-level colleges in the vicinity.
How good are the placements at NIT - Warangal/Surathkal/Trichy/Calicut/Rourkela? What are the average packages?
The placement scenario of NIT Warangal, Surathkal, and Trichy is somewhat the same with minor differences only. One of my friends studied at NIT Warangal and shed some light on the placement scenario there. Here is a branch-wise analysis
- CSE : The placements for the CSE branch are the best in NIT Warangal as well as Trichy and Surathkal. Students are placed in huge software giants like Microsoft, D.E.Shaw, Adobe, Directi, Tower Research Capital, Cisco, IBM, and some Investment Bankers like Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley, etc The average package of CSE recorded this year was INR 30.8 LPA for BTech while INR 30.43 LPA for MTech.
- ECE - The companies coming on the first day of placements are Qualcomm, Broadcom, Nvidia, SanDisk India, Redpine Signals, Samsung, and Caterpillar, etc., Software companies like Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Oracle, etc allow ECE students to sit for placements. The average package for BTech students is INR 23.6 LPA and for MTech students is around NR 20.4 LPA.
- EEE - Companies like Alstom, Reliance, and PSUs like Power Grid, IOCL, HPCL, etc., offer core profiles to EEE students. Additionally, software companies that come for ECE and CSE students also allow EEE students to sit for placements. The average package for EEE is INR 21.19 LPA for BTech students and between 11- 14.6 LPA for MTech students.
- Mechanical Engineering: Companies like Caterpillar, Michelin, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Volvo, Larsen and T0ubro, Vizag Steel Plant(RINL), etc., recruit Mechanical Engineering students of NIT Rourkela. The average package is INR 12.4 LPA for BTech students and between 9-12 LPA for MTech students.
- Chemical Engineering: The Chemical engineering students are usually recruited by companies such as Reliance Industries, Dr.Reddy's Laboratories, Michelin tires, and some PSUs. A few even opt for Management or Consulting companies like MuSigma, Deloitte, IBM, etc., The average package is INR 14.8 LPA for BTech students and between 8-11 LPA for MTech students.
- Civil Engineering - This is one of the oldest NIT Warangal branches that has recruiters like the Sobha developers group etc., Students opt for Management or Consulting companies like MuSigma, Deloitte, and IBM. The average package for BTech students is INR 13 LPA and between 6-8 LPA for MTech students.
Overall, placements are similar in all the 3 NITs, NIT Warangal, Trichy, and Surathkal.
If I have 3 backlogs in 1st year then would I be eligible for 2nd year in Pune university?
Admission chances depend on entrance exam scores, category reservation, state quota, and annual competition levels.
Assessment factors:
- Previous Cutoff Trends: Analyze last 3 years' data for your category and branch.
- Category Reservation: Cutoffs vary significantly across General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS.
- State Quota Benefits: Home state candidates often have 10-20 percentile lower cutoffs.
- Branch Popularity: CSE and ECE have higher cutoffs than mechanical or civil.
- Counseling Rounds: Later rounds may see reduced cutoffs—participate in all rounds.
Use official predictors and last year's cutoff data. Prepare backup options across different rounds and colleges.
How can one prepare for the UGEE (IIIT-H) exam?
IIIT Hyderabad conducts UGEE for UG admissions and is somewhat like JEE. The syllabus is usually from Ncert +1 & +2 Books, from the PCM subjects. If you are well-versed in your basic concepts clearing this exam won’t be a hassle. It’s however recommended to procure some written modules of certain Coaching materials the best being IIITprep.
IIITprep has excellently written content that helps you prepare well for the exam. You can even download the available PDFs and books from its website. The topics covered give you a better understanding of the complex topics. In fact, the course material is so good that it helps you in preparing for JEE Advance as well.
So for cracking UGEE, refer to the material from IIITprep and you are good to go!
Is hostel for girls available at BHU?
Yes, at BHU many girls' hostel facilities are available. In fact, every girl admitted at BHU in any course will surely get a hostel.
You need to do well in BHU entrance exams to avail the best hostels. Every girl hostel has top-notch facilities at minimum rates. The security at girls' hostels is what makes them the best.
