AG
Akriti Gupta Posted On : September 27th, 2023

The NMIMS rating among MBA schools is quite remarkable. NMIMS is performing exceptionally well in both rankings and placements.

The NAAC gave NMIMS its initial accreditation with an A+ grade. This was based on the institution's development into an exceptional one, as well as its performance and contribution to management education.

The following table shows the recent ranking of the institute in the management category:

Ranking Body

Ranking (In the year 2023)

NIRF

21

IIRF

25

FT

Business Today

10th among top B-schools

So, it can be concluded that NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) consistently ranks among the top business schools in India. Its ranking may vary across different surveys and years but is generally within the top 20-30 in national rankings.

What are your reviews of Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Delhi, for a BBA?

CR
Chandrakanta Ray Posted On : May 21st, 2021
BBA from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2020)

One of my friends studied there and according to him and his classmates it isthe worst institute to pursue a BBA degree.

Below are the points mentioned which will prove why they have such an aversion towards this institute:

  • Attendance is the major issue. You need to maintain at least 75% attendance. The professors can detain you at 74% attendance.
  • There are only two streams - BBA (General) and BBA (Banking & Insurance).
  • There are a total of six subjects in each semester. The faculty is not so good.
  • Mugging up is better than understanding the topic.
  • The infrastructure of the institute is outdated. The top floor is the administrative block, and the ground floor is for the campus.
  • No enthusiasm is shown for extra-curricular activities.

The college environment is a mix of decent students and dull students from various schools. MAIT and other below-average colleges conduct the seminars. The college timing is from 8:10-1:30, with a 20 minutes break at 11:00. There are six classes in a day. It feels similar to a school.

How good is machine learning course of IISC Bangalore (video lectures which are on nptel)?

RS
Rishabh Singh Posted On : February 8th, 2024
Lives in banglore

I lack knowledge of this particular course. But on nptel itself, there is a course called ‘Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks’ by Prof. P. S. Sastry. It is one of the best courses by an IISc Bangalore faculty.

In this course, sir gives unbelievable insights for complicated equations. His students at IISc refer to him as ‘GOD’ for a reason. This course is more mathematically rigorous than the Machine Learning course by Andrew NG on coursera. But the latter is probably better from a practical implementation point of view.

You can check these two courses as well, and then decide which of the three courses is best suited for your learning.

How do I prepare for the BHU BA (Hons.) in social science entrance exam?

SS
Sayanti Shome, Posted On : November 11th, 2021
B.A Political Science, Banaras Hindu University (2022)

One of my friends studied at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). According to him, BA social science entrance exam demands you to be knowledgeable in the field of humanities.

All you have to do is cover the current affairs section very well and along with that keep an eye on the previous year's questions. Some questions include topics on psychology or philosophy. For this, you don't have to go through the topics elaborately. You can solve previous year's questions to get a general idea. These are a must to pass BHU BA Social Science entrance examination.

For current affairs, you can keep yourself updated by reading newspapers and magazines. This will improve your vocabulary and writing ability. Knowing history will also be helpful. So prepare accordingly.

What should be a safe GMAT score for me to get selected for ISB Hyderabad?

JT
Jayant Thakur Posted On : March 1st, 2023
ISB YLP '15 Admit

Based on your profile, it seems that you have accomplished a lot and your profile is unique compared to others. Therefore, it is suggested that a score above 700 on the GMAT would be a safe score. To be extra cautious, a score of 720 or higher would be ideal.

You don't need to add anything to your profile, but rather subtract any unnecessary information.

The Admissions Committee is primarily interested in understanding three key aspects of you on a deeper level:

  • YOU

They want to understand who you are as a person. What motivates you? What are your passions? How do you stand out from others?

  • YOUR GOAL
What are your professional aspirations? Where do you want to go in your career? Why is achieving this goal important to you?

  • WHY ISB
How can ISB help you achieve your goals? Why do you believe that ISB is the best fit for you?

By answering these questions, your profile will take shape and you will gain a better understanding of what to include and what to leave out.
