If I have missed to receive my VTU degree certificate on post, what should I do?
You need to first contact your post office. They keep any article or letter for a few days before returning it back. If they returned it then there are two options.
- Pay a DD of Rs. 200 (the amount may vary) in the name of ‘Finance Officer VTU Belgaum’. Mention your USN, name, and contact info on the back of the DD.
- Keep a xerox copy for your reference. Write a letter stating the issue and request to resent it.
- Speed post it and the original DD to ‘The Registrar (Evaluation), VTU Belgaum, 59001’. One of my friends got his certificate within 10 days after posting the latter.
- You can get it within a day if you travel to VTU Belgaum ID proof and fill up the application form or letter.

I have a friend who graduated from Central University of Rajasthan. His experience at the institute has been good.
- Classes are regular at the institute. The professors are well-experienced. The university follows a semester system.
- The campus is a great place to hang out with your friends. My friend used to hang out at a place called thadi. Food is available till 10 at night. You can also visit nearby dhabas or restaurants. Girls are allowed to be out till 10. There are two stadiums where you can watch kids play.
- Some days there can be problems regarding food and water. But overall it’s manageable. There is one non-veg counter, one canteen, one chai shop, one corporate store, and two dairy parlors on campus.
- Winters are cold and summers are too hot. Students usually stay on campus except for vacations.
Overall, you will have a good experience on campus.
What is your review of National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) , Surathkal?
NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.
The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.
NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
Can you share your M.Tech interview experience at IIT, Bhubaneswar?
My friend completed her MTech in ECE recently from IIT BHU and shared her interview experience. She along with other candidates was made to give a written examination based on which they got shortlisted for the interview. The interview was conducted by a strong panel of 4 faculties. Soon she was summoned for an interview.
The questions the panelists asked her were

- The college from where she completed her Bachelor's
- Her favorite subject (Communication)
- Several questions related to PCM
- A few Questions on Quantization
- Question on A2D conversion and D2A
- The reason she chose IIT Bhubaneshwar for MTech
They asked her a few more general questions and concluded the interview which lasted for 15-20 mins. She realized that having proficiency in her favorite subject helped her. She advised her juniors to always go through the institution's official website and faculties before the interview. In case you recognize any of the faculties at the interview, you can impress them with the knowledge of their project you have. Overall, the interviewers asked more technical than personal questions.

One of my friends is from IIM Kashipur, so I will be sharing his experiences, which will only refer to the hostel facilities provided by IIM Kashipur.
- The hostels are single occupancy, with one common room and six rooms on each floor.
- Each floor's common room includes amenities such as a refrigerator, water purifier, washing machine, microwave, and a low-rise table with six stools.
- A fantastic location for group studies, completing a number of assignments and relaxing.
- The rooms are good and spacious. Each room has an attached bathroom and a personal balcony.
- The rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, a large almirah, and a bookshelf.
- All the rooms and the common area have radiant cooling, which cools in the summer and heats in the winter.
- As the hostel is only two years old, the majority of the furniture is brand new and in good condition.
- In addition to Wi-Fi, we have LAN ports for faster internet access.
We have an online portal where we can post any issues with hot water, RO filter replacement, tube light replacement, or any other hostel-related issues. The problems are resolved on a priority basis within a few days. Honestly, hostel facilities are one of the best things you get in IIM.
