It's true that IIT Hyderabad being a CS oriented institute has good placement records in these branches alone. Other fields have poor placements and many Master's students suffer as a result. But to claim IIIT Hyderabad has poor placements as a whole would be misleading indeed.

Here are the facilities available at NIT Durgapur Boys’ hostels-
- In Hall 11 (for freshers), Wifi facility is provided. For the students in other halls, LAN facility is provided.
- Its mess committee members decide the menu for a respective hall.
- Mess food is average. But once a week, you’ll be served good meals. Every month, there’s a special dinner where you’ll be served dishes like mutton, pulao, ice cream, cold drink, rasgulla, etc.
- First year boys can go out between 6am-6pm as a preventative measure against ragging. However, this in-time is extended to 10 pm later on.
- There’s a weekly laundry service for which the bill gets added to your mess bill accordingly.
