Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Chennai has officially opened admissions for its Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for the January 2026 batch. Interested candidates can now apply through the official registration link available on the VIT Online portal.

The VIT online MBA Programme is tailor-made for early-to mid-career professionals, providing a strategic pathway for career advancement. The programme fee is ₹1,80,000, and applicants must also pay an application fee of ₹1,200 during registration.

The course duration is 24 months, delivered in a mixed mode, which includes both recorded and live sessions. Students will attend 1-hour live sessions per week per subject. Learners can choose from two class schedules - Option 1: Monday to Friday or Option 2: Saturday and Sunday, allowing them to balance work and study effectively.

To be eligible, candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree of at least three years duration with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for candidates in reserved categories) from a recognised university.

  • UG provisional/UG degree Experience certificate (if any)
  • Community certificate (for reserved category students only)

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded an MBA degree. Evaluation is based on 30% internal assessment and 70% end-term examination, with a minimum of 50% required in each subject to pass. The Final Assessment Test will be conducted offline at VIT centres across India, currently available at 20 locations, with plans to expand further.
