Amity University has begun its PhD admissions for the January 2026 session in all its campuses be it Noida, Lucknow, Gwalior, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bangalore.. The last date to apply is December 15, 2025.

Candidates must apply online through the official university portal, amity.edu.in.

The admission process involves a PhD Entrance Test (PET) scheduled for December 18, 2025, and only candidates who qualify in this test will be called for an interview.

The university offers PhD programs in over 94 specializations across full-time and part-time modes, with durations ranging from a minimum of three years for full-time to four and a half years for part-time, extendable up to six years.

The Amity University PhD Program application fee is Rs 1,500. Candidates need to pay at the time of submitting their application online, which is non-refundable.

The eligibility criteria require candidates to have a master’s degree or MPhil in a relevant field with at least 55% marks. Certain candidates who hold valid UGC NET, CSIR, ICAR (ASRB), GPAT, ICMR, or GATE qualifications are exempt from the PET.

For engineering and technology domains, candidates with MTech, ME, or MS degrees and a minimum of 60% marks are considered eligible. Law applicants need a master’s degree in the field with 55% aggregate marks.

The university insists on the submission of all required documents, including mark sheets, at the time of application, and candidates employed elsewhere must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer upon joining.

After clearance of the PET, students must also pay a registration fee of Rs 10,000 and a security deposit of Rs 10,000 to confirm their seat.

The academic fee for full-time PhD students at the Noida campus is Rs 50,000 per semester.
