How to Apply for CUCET 2026
Chandigarh University has enabled both online and offline application modes for CUCET 2026. Applicants can choose their preferred method to complete the registration and appear for the online entrance test.
Online mode
Candidates opting for online registration can follow these steps:
- Visit the official CUCET portal (cucet.cuchd.in) and complete the registration to create a profile
- Receive a confirmation message via SMS/E-mail after successful signup
- Pay the ₹1,000 registration fee, which also includes a digital prospectus
- Enter academic details such as school name, subjects, and select a preferred exam date from the dropdown
- Appear for the online CUCET exam on the allotted date using registered login credentials
Offline mode
For offline applications, candidates can proceed as follows:
- Purchase the brochure-cum-application form from Chandigarh University admission offices or authorised centres by paying ₹1,000
- Register on the official portal and wait for confirmation
- Scratch the brochure form to reveal the unique code and enter the number on the website
- Fill academic details and choose an exam date
- Take the exam online on the chosen date via the official CUCET portal
Chandigarh University’s CUCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The CUCET 2026 exam will be conducted in online computer-based mode, with a total duration of 120 minutes (2 hours). The test follows an MCQ-based pattern, covering stream-specific subjects as per the candidate’s chosen program.
Students appearing for CUCET will also be considered for Chandigarh University’s merit-based scholarships, with benefits ranging from partial fee support to up to 100% tuition fee waiver based on exam performance during Phase 1.
For UG admission, applicants must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 from a recognised board. For PG programs, candidates must hold a relevant bachelor's degree or be in the final year of graduation.
After the exam, results will be released on the official portal, followed by merit-based counselling for seat allocation and scholarship confirmation. Candidates are advised to complete registration before the deadline, upload required documents, and keep checking the portal for result and counselling updates to secure admission and financial benefits.
