New Delhi: The Indian Society for Universal Dialogue of Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University has launched a platform titled "India@100” series with the aim of encouraging law students of the university to engage in debates on constitutional and contemporary issues.

As per Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University, the logo of the legal forum was launched by Justice M Sundar of Madras High Court and Supreme Court Senior Advocate Guru Krishnakumar in the presence of Vice Chancellor Santhosh Kumar and Faculty Advisor Ranjit Oomen Abraham.

Speaking on this occasion, Justice Sundar said, “As a law student, opportunities for meaningful discussions were confined to the traditional academic routines of our time. However, I am thrilled to witness the remarkable transformation in legal education, which now offers students a range of resources for engagement”.

Adding to the statement, ISUD president Aswin S said, "This initiative seeks to transcend the boundaries of traditional legal education and foster an environment where young, legal minds can engage in spirited discussions on critical matters of national and international significance," said ISUD president Aswin S.

The ISUD's India@100 series is designed with the aim of offering insights into complex issues around constitutional and contemporary domains. The forum will offer law students the chance to gain a vision beyond academic learning. It will further create a community of socially conscious and politically aware legal scholars.

The ISUD will host the launch event of the "India@100 series' ' in October. The event will include discussions on how gender and law intersect, bringing to light vital concerns about gender equality and justice. 

After this, a discussion will be held on the topic of the legal history of India. Ranjit Oomen Abraham shared that ISUD's next series would help the field of legal education improve by serving as a centre for scholarly conversation.
