NIT Jalandhar is gearing up for its 18th Convocation on October 18, where graduates from 2022 will receive their degrees. The event will feature Banwarilal Purohit, Punjab's Governor and UT Chandigarh's Administrator, as the Chief Guest.

New Delhi: The 18th Convocation of the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. This convocation ceremony will confer B.Tech./ M.Tech. /M.Sc./ MBA/ Ph.D. degrees upon the students who graduated in the academic year 2022.
According to an official NIT Jalandhar statement, Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, has graciously accepted the role of Chief Guest for the event. Renowned engineer Sonam Wangchuk, based in Ladakh, will be the Guest of Honour. The Central Seminar Hall of the Institute will serve as the venue for the convocation.
NIT Jalandhar's 18 Convocation: Rehearsal and Registration Details
A mandatory dress rehearsal is scheduled for October 17, 2023, at 2:30 PM. After this time, entry will not be permitted. Only students who participate in the dress rehearsal will be eligible to attend the Convocation on October 18, 2023.
All degree recipients and program toppers are strongly advised to complete their registration for participation in the Convocation by October 3, 2023, before 5:00 PM. This can be done by filling out the Online Consent Form, which is accessible on the institute's website.
Any requests received after the specified date will not be considered for registration. (Topper students will receive separate email notifications regarding this process.)
NIT Jalandhar's 18 Convocation: Dress Code
Each degree recipient invited to the convocation ceremony will be required to pay a convocation fee of INR 1,000. The institute will provide the stole as part of the attire.
Male recipients are expected to adhere to the dress code of wearing an off-white Pyjama and Kurta/Shirt, while female recipients should wear Chudidar or Salwar along with a Kurta, all in off-white.
