National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala has announced an extension of the MBA admission 2026-27 application deadline through a corrigendum issued on April 17, 2026. The online application submission deadline has been extended to May 11, 2026, while the hardcopy submission deadline has been extended to May 21, 2026. The Institute Level Test (ILT) has been rescheduled to June 12, 2026 from the earlier scheduled date. This extension provides eligible candidates with additional time to prepare and submit their applications for admission to the 2-year MBA program at NIT Agartala.

Eligibility Criteria for NIT Agartala MBA 2026-27
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university to be eligible for the MBA program at NIT Agartala. Valid scores in CAT, GMAT, MAT, or CMAT are required for admission consideration. Candidates should have a minimum aggregate score of 50% in their bachelor's degree (45% for SC/ST candidates). Work experience is not mandatory but is preferred for candidates applying to the MBA program.

Hardcopy Submission Process
Candidates who prefer to submit hardcopy applications must send their completed application forms along with required documents to NIT Agartala by May 21, 2026. The hardcopy should include the printed online application form, photocopies of educational certificates, entrance test scorecard, and other supporting documents. Applications should be sent to the Admissions Office, NIT Agartala, Tripura, India with proper postal tracking. The postmark date should not be later than May 21, 2026 for the application to be considered valid.
Candidates submitting hardcopy applications must ensure that all documents are properly organized and clearly labeled. The application envelope should be marked "MBA Admission 2026-27" on the front. NIT Agartala will not be responsible for applications lost in transit, so candidates are advised to use registered mail with tracking facility. Candidates should retain a copy of the application and postal receipt for their records.
Institute Level Test (ILT) and Selection Process
The Institute Level Test (ILT) scheduled for June 12, 2026 will assess candidates' aptitude for management studies and analytical skills. The test will be conducted in computer-based format at NIT Agartala campus. Candidates who qualify the ILT will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds scheduled for June 13-15, 2026. The final selection will be based on performance in ILT, GD, PI, and academic credentials.
The selection process is designed to identify candidates with strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and leadership potential. The GD round evaluates candidates' ability to articulate ideas, listen to others, and contribute meaningfully to group discussions. The PI round assesses candidates' motivation, career goals, and suitability for the MBA program. The final merit list will be prepared considering all evaluation parameters, and selected candidates will be notified by June 2026.
