MAH NEET UG 2026 Counselling Round 1 Registration Deadline Extended to August 21; Check Revised Schedule

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (CET Cell) has extended the MAH NEET UG 2026 Counselling Round 1 registration deadline. The last date to complete registration is now August 21, 2026. The revised final merit list will be published on August 23, 2026. The update was issued through Notice No. 10 on the official portal at medical2026.mahacet.org.

The extension applies to candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Registration began on August 6, 2026, and was earlier scheduled to close on August 15. Candidates who missed the earlier window can now complete registration, fee payment, and document upload within the extended timeline.

The CET Cell has stated that the extension aligns the state schedule with the revised Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) timeline for All India Quota seats. All previously registered candidates need not re-register. Fresh applicants must complete every step before the new deadline lapses.

The revised timeline as per Notice No. 10 is listed below. All deadlines are strict and no further extension has been indicated.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Only candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 can register for MAH NEET UG counselling. Applicants must meet the Maharashtra state domicile and eligibility norms set by the CET Cell. Category-wise reservation applies as per the state rulebook.

Non-resident applicants under the NRI quota must submit valid documentary proof at the upload stage. Any mismatch in category, gender, or reservation claim can lead to cancellation during verification.

Registration Fee for MAH NEET UG 2026 Counselling

Payment can be made online through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable across counselling rounds.

How to Register for MAH NEET UG 2026 Counselling?

Follow the steps below to complete the registration on the official portal.

1. Visit the official portal at medical2026.mahacet.org.
2. Click on the New Registration link on the homepage.
3. Enter NEET UG 2026 roll number, application number, and personal details.
4. Fill in academic, category, and domicile information carefully.
5. Upload scanned copies of required documents in the specified format.
6. Pay the applicable registration fee through the online gateway.
7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for records.

Documents Required for Registration

Applicants must keep the following documents ready in scanned form before starting the application.

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates
• Aadhaar card and a recent passport-size photograph
• Domicile certificate and nationality certificate
• Category, non-creamy layer, or EWS certificate, if applicable
• PwD certificate or defence certificate, wherever claimed

What Happens After the Revised Merit List?

The revised final merit list on August 23 will decide the pecking order for seat allotment. Candidates must verify their rank, category, and personal details on the list. Any error must be reported immediately through the grievance option in the candidate login.

Option form filling opens on August 24, 2026. Candidates can select preferred colleges and courses in order of choice. The CAP Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for August 27, 2026.
