New Delhi: The School of Applied Sciences at KIIT, which was deemed to be a university, hosted the "International Conference on Complex Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (ICCACFD-2024)" from February 16- 18, 2024. With nineteen speakers, all hailing from IITs and the USA, the conference showcased pioneers in the field who delivered impactful keynote talks.
With over 200 delegates in attendance and 82 paper presentations, the conference garnered significant participation. KIIT provided patronage, while sponsorship came from CSIR, SERB, and FORUM D'ANALYSTES. The overarching objective of the international conference was to initiate collaborative research, enhance the visibility of KIIT University, and offer a comprehensive exploration of complex analysis and computational fluid dynamics.
By bringing together academicians, researchers, and leading scientists from India and abroad, the event facilitated the exchange of innovative ideas, methods, and results, fostering discussions on recent developments in the field.
During the conference, Prof. S. Ponuusamy from IIT Madras, the Conference Chair; Prof. Sharanjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor of KIIT DU; Prof. S. Nanda, Research Chair; and Dr. Prasanta Rath, Dean of SAS, inaugurated the event and delivered welcome addresses.
Dr. Mrutyunjay Das expressed gratitude on behalf of all stakeholders in a vote of thanks. Each conference day, he commenced with keynote speakers' talks, followed by parallel sessions for presenting papers on Complex Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
At the Valedictory session, Professor Emeritus Prof. Pramod Kumar Das from KIIT DU, Prof. Prasanta Dutta from Washington State University, Dr. Ranjan Kumar Nayak (Convener), and Dr. Manas Ranjan Mohapatra (Convener) extended their appreciation for the successful organisation of the conference. Participants shared their feedback during the valedictory session, followed by distributing certificates to all attendees.
