JNU to Start Document Verification of Diploma of Proficiency Students on August 31; Check Details Here

New Delhi: At the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, the physical verification of students chosen for the Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) programmes will start. The verification will begin on the JNU's official website i.e., jnu.ac.in on August 31, 2023.

JNU offers a Diploma of Proficiency in the languages of Bhasha Indonesia, Mongolian, Hebrew, Uzbek, and Pali. The application period started on July 27, 2023.

The results of candidates' language proficiency exams determine whether they will be admitted to DOP programs on a merit basis.

JNU released the DOP program merit list on August 21, 2023. The JNU began pre-enrolment registration and fee collection for DOP programs on August 21, 2023. The window was closed on August 23, 2023.

The applicants selected must finish the physical verification process before September 15, 2023, following the start of the document verification, at which point classes will begin.

Candidates must have a Class 12 or equivalent certificate with an overall grade point average of 45% for the document verification. Additionally, they must display a certificate proving their language proficiency or proof of passing an exam deemed equivalent. 

Candidates who received their education in a manner other than the traditional Class 12 curriculum will need to present their first-year Bachelor's degree examination mark sheet.

South East Asian Studies offers the DOP program in Bhasha Indonesia, while the Centre for Korean Studies and the Centre for Arabic and African Studies offer the DOP programs in Mongolian and Hebrew. The Centre of Persian and Central Asian Studies offers DOP in Uzbek.

On the other hand, on August 26, 2023, JNU released the JNU PG 2nd Merit List 2023. For more information, candidates should visit the JNUEE website at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. After the announcement of the second merit list, they have until August 28, 2023, to complete the pre-registration enrolments. By August 28, 2023, candidates must reserve spaces and pay the entrance price.

Candidates who applied for the MA programs and were selected in the first round should report for physical verification of admission on September 1, 2023. The completion of the physical verification for extra courses will take place on September 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, and 13, 2023. 

The JNU PG 2nd merit list has also been released for the MTech, MPh, PGD, MA, MSc, and MCA programs.
