IIT Mandi has invited applications for its Summer Internship 2026 program. This one-to-two-month residential programme is designed to introduce undergraduate and postgraduate students to high-level research, providing hands-on training with modern hardware and software analysis tools. Selected interns will receive a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month during their tenure at IIT Mandi. Selected interns are responsible for their own travel and living expenses.

Courses/Research Areas

Internships are available across various schools and centres, including:

• Engineering: Civil & Environmental, Computing and Electrical, Mechanical and Materials.
• Sciences: Biosciences & Bioengineering, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Mathematical & Statistical Sciences.
• Specialized Centres: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), Quantum Science and Technologies (CQST), Human-Computer Interaction (CHCI), and Indian Knowledge System and Mental Health Application (IKSMHA).
• Humanities & Management: School of Humanities & Social Sciences and School of Management.

IIT Mandi Summer Internship 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The program is strictly open to candidates from Institutes/Colleges/Universities that have a signed MoU with IIT Mandi. Specific academic requirements include:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering/Technology): Only Pre-final year (3rd year) students are eligible.
• Postgraduate Students: Only Pre-final year (1st year) students can apply.
